Mark lifted up his suitcase onto the bed and fully unzipped it.

Wait... Did I even pack something simple?

He froze, his eyebrows knit together as he mentally retracted the rushed morning he'd left for the airport. Layering sweaters, thick hoodies, sweatshirts, he remembered showing all of it into the suitcase without a second thought.

And then the realisation hit him, followed by embarrassment.

Right... Because it's freezing in Korea and here it's not.

His head tilted back slightly, eyes widened at himself before he let out a breathy laugh, comically delayed.
"Oh- I totally forgot the climate's completely different here."

Her dad laughed,
"You sound exactly like Mason when he came back here first time after he went there for work," he said shaking his head and continued.
"Don't worry about it, you can use Mason or Parker's clothes while you're here."

Before Mark could answer her mom stepped forward with that soft gentle tone she always used when worrying over someone.

"You must be exhausted dear, go freshen up first. I'll prepare something for you in the meantime."

She turned towards the stairs and called out,
"Parker! Come here for a moment."

Parker appeared a few seconds later.
"Can you take Mark to the room?" Mum asked her youngest son.
"I'll prepare food."

"Yeah sure," Parker nodded at Mark and threw his arm around Mark's shoulder.
"I'll show you where everything is my bro."

Mark gave an appreciated half smile, still quite embarrassed and tired at the same time, but warm by how casually they welcomed him despite it.

Mark emerged wearing borrowed clothes which were comfortable but slightly loose, still containing Mason's scent and tugged it once again at the hem of the shirt to check if it truly fits.

He stepped out and at the same moment-

They almost collided

Hannah eyes immediately darted at the familiar looking clothes, she hadn't known he borrowed Mason's clothes, her gaze lingered for long.

Mark turned to look at her at the same moment. His eyes widened, catching his breath.

A small quiet moment hung between them-

soft, delicate, just them.

The dining room was adorned with the warm afternoon light. Wooden chairs, white fabric placements and plates laid down with the comforting familiarity of her childhood home.

The brunch started with casual ease until Mom's gaze landed on Mark with immediate concern, her eyebrows pinched.

"Mark, dear why aren't you eating? Here- let me get you more."

Mark shook his head,
"I'm fine-"
"You don't like it? Tell me if it's bad."

Mark straightened up so quickly that he nearly hit the table.
"No, it's amazing! I promise."
