Mark waited on the door before he heard the familiar sound of paws skidding against the floor. Within seconds, the door opened and a blur of white fur launched itself at him.
"Coco- dude!" Mark barely managed to brace himself before the now fully grown samoyed tackled him, his fluffy weight knocking the air out of his lungs as he stumbled back.
"Yo, yo- calm down!" Mark laughed, trying to steady himself as Coco placed both front paws on his chest, nuzzling into him with an affectionate whine.
Mark ran his hands through the thick, soft fur.
"You got so big man- when did that happen?"Coco let out another excited bark before licking Mark's face with enthusiasm. Mark winced as he felt his back sore yet laughed again as he gently pushed the dog's face away.
"Alright alright, I missed you too."From inside, Hannah's amused voice called out.
"Coco stop assaulting the guest."Mark glanced up, as Hannah appeared in the doorway, arms crossed.
"He acts as if he hasn't seen you in years, feels like you came for him not me.""Feels like it" Mark joked, scratching behind Coco's ear as the dog finally settled down, still leaning against him with a happy huff.
"I think he remembers all the treats I used to sneak him."Hannah rolled her eyes.
"That explains why he likes you more than me sometimes."Mark just chuckled before getting inside and followed Hannah into the kitchen.
Casually Mark opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water and chugged some down.
It was only when he leaned against the counter that Hannah finally noticed his guitar bag was slung over his shoulder. She hadn't even realised he had been carrying it this whole time.
"You brought your guitar?" She asked, tilting her head.
"Oh yeah, I just went to your studio and saw I forgot my guitar so I just took it."Hannah leaned against the counter, arms crossed as she looked up at him.
"You didn't mention you were coming over to serenade me."Mark huffed a small laugh, setting his water bottle on the counter.
"Who said anything about serenading? But if you want I can play something plus Coco is my biggest fan."At the mention of his name, Coco let out an excited bark, tail wagging even harder.
Hannah shook her head in amusement.
"You and that dog, I swear."Mark just grinned his eyes crinkling slightly at the corners.
"You jealous?""Of you? Never" She teased but there was something warm in her expression.
After a moment, Hannah got up from her seat.
"Come on, let's go to my room."Mark smiled and followed her down the hall as Coco eventually followed them too.
Once inside her room, Mark glanced around before plopping down on the edge of her bed, his guitar bag resting beside him. Hannah sat cross legged, parallel to him as she leaned back on her big teddy which was never there before as Coco made himself comfortable on his dog bed.
"Now Coco will sleep" Hannah said after she saw Coco taking up his usual sleeping spot.
"Yo where did that panda come from?" Mark asked out of curiosity, pointing onto a nearly human sized panda plushie.
"Oh that?-" Hannah pointed at it and smiled.
