Hannah stood by the window of her apartment, phone in hand while she watched the pale morning sky stretch itself awake. Her reflection looked fine, way too normal which was annoying.
Her thumb hovered over Mark's contact in her phone, she knew that he was already leaving for his next concert location whereas she wasn't still over her jet lag from yesterday's flight.
No goodbye, no 'let's meet before I leave', just tight schedules and tighter timings.

She stared at the screen for a second longer than necessary, then locked it.
"Airplane mode, obviously." she muttered to herself.
"Why are you talking to the window this early in the morning?" Jihye's voice rang through the quiet room which made Hannah flinch.
"Gosh you scared me." Hannah said, looking at her roommate who came out of hibernation.
"You scared me, why would you talk to yourself? It was less cringe when you went all lovey dovey with Mark." Jihye muttered, loud enough for Hannah to hear.
Hannah rolled her eyes over her.
"Whatever, I'm leaving for work."
"Breakfast? I'll toast some bread real quick." Jihye said, already heading towards the kitchen as she made her hair into a messy ponytail.
"I'm not eating, see you." Hannah said as she wore her shoes.
"I'm going to complain to your boyfriend." Jihye gave Hannah a done, sleepy look.
"Go sleep and yes my boyfriend can't advise me because he doesn't follow it either. Bye cutie." Hannah caressed her hair and stepped out.
Still at the parking lot as she put on her seatbelt, she sent one more message.

The studio buzzed with its usual rhythm. Voices layering over each other, vocal runs echoing faintly, someone laughed too loudly in the corner.
Hannah slipped into it like she always did, quiet, focused and composed no matter how much ever she missed his presence already.
"Unnieee," Ningning whined.
"Yeah?" Hannah looked up at her.
"Can we have a break?"
"Sure, but only for ten minutes. We didn't have practice for a week already." Hannah gave in at their puppy faces.
Ningning flopped onto the couch.
"Unnie, where did you disappear?"
"Australia" Hannah said, grabbing a bottle of water.
Winter crossed her arms, "Out of nowhere?"
Hannah nodded,
"Family stuff."
Karina tilted her head.
"You do look tired."
Hannah shrugged, "I landed last night."
Giselle squinted at her,
"And something else."
"Okay, detective. Relax." Hannah chuckled.
