Following rules is no fun
You rethink everything when you see me going wild, huh

The first thing Hannah did after reaching home is to approach Mason.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were coming?"

She noticed everyone's faces and frowned.
"Wait... Everyone knew except me?"

Their parents laughed lightly,
"It was supposed to be a surprise."
"It's not my birthday," she protested.
"Why would you surprise me like that?"

She glanced at Mark,
"You knew it too, didn't you?"

His expression shifted half a second before getting back to his composure.
"You too?" she gasped dramatically. "Traitors, all of you betrayed me, and-"

She started to sing which Parker cut off mid-way and sang the continuation.
"And I know that you'll never feel sorry. Enough of your drama."

Mark was surprised by this side of Hannah, she seemed so much of herself with her family.

Their parents laughed it off telling them to stop being childish and Maon adding something about how Hannah is an adult now and Parker is nearing it too.

Mason raised his hands like he surrendered.
"I wasn't even sure if I'll come or not. Got some time to spare before the next hearing so came here."
"And you still didn't tell your sister." she muttered.

"You don't like my presence here?" Mason asked.
"No," she replied immediately.
"I didn't mean that."

Later when everyone settled in, Mark sat in the brother's room.

Parker approached Mark as if he was waiting for this moment.
"You play basketball, right?" Parker asked pulling out a clip on his phone.
Mark chuckled, "Yeah, I do."

"Are you good at it?"

"I'd say I'm decent."

"Let's play."

Hannah and Mason initially refused, too tired and lazy for something physical.

"Let's go, we can just have one match if you guys don't want to play much." Mark added to Parker's begging.

"Okay fine." Hannah gave in followed by Mason.

"Betrayal, you accepted when Mark requested but not me." Parker whined, sulking.

"Be happy, at least we're playing instead of resting." Mason said.

They walked to the nearby court, Parker teamed up with Mark leaving Hannah with Mason.
"That's unfair, you both are good players." Hannah complained.

"I can't take you or Mason, I'll lose." Parker said seriously.
"You think I'm bad?" she shot Parker back and turned to Mark.

"You betrayed me."

"No, it's not like that-" Mark said immediately. "He asked me up first."

They played several rounds after promising on one, until Mason was exhausted.

Mason and Hannah sat on a bench, sweat dripping across their foreheads. Already drenched enough.

"You guys get tired so easily." Parker teased.

"We're over twenty," Hannah replied. "Play with people of your age."

"But Mark isn't tired."

"He is," she insisted.
"He came here to rest, stop bullying my man."
