THE MORNING SUNLIGHT FILTERED THROUGH THE WINDOWS OF THE ROYAL GUEST QUARTERS, casting a warm glow on the elegant room. felix had barely slept the night before, his mind replaying the conversation with diana over and over again. he could hardly believe that a royal, someone so graceful and poised, had taken an interest in spending time with him. and not just any time, but offering to show him a side of london that wasn't often seen by the public eye. the idea of a day spent with her—away from the royal duties and eyes of the world—had felix's heart fluttering in a way that was both unfamiliar and thrilling.
he stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his outfit for what felt like the hundredth time. a simple, comfortable shirt and jeans—nothing too flashy, just something he hoped would make him blend in while still feeling like himself. he had to remind himself that he was here to enjoy the day, not to overthink every detail. still, the nerves were there, bubbling up in his chest as he imagined what the day might hold.
a soft knock on the door startled him, and he quickly turned to see the attendant who had greeted him earlier in the palace.
"mr. felix, the princess is waiting outside," the attendant said with a polite smile.
felix nodded, trying to contain the excitement building inside him. "thank you."
he followed the attendant down the winding hallways of the palace, each step echoing in the grand space, until they reached a private entrance where diana was waiting. she stood there in a casual, yet elegant outfit—nothing too extravagant but perfectly fitting for a day out. a pale blue blouse, jeans, and a light jacket. she looked effortlessly beautiful, her presence calm and welcoming.
"good morning, felix," she greeted with a warm smile, her eyes lighting up when they met his. "ready for our adventure?"
"good morning," he replied, his heart racing a little. "i'm ready if you are."
her smile widened, and she motioned for him to follow. "i thought we could start with a walk through hyde park. it's one of my favorite places in the city. quiet, peaceful, and far from the usual crowds."
felix nodded enthusiastically. "sounds perfect."
as they stepped out into the crisp london air, the busy city seemed a world away. the hustle and bustle of buckingham palace and the palace guards at attention were replaced with the soft chirping of birds and the gentle rustling of trees in the park. the park, lush with greenery, offered an escape from the noise and demands of royal life, and felix was grateful for it. he felt at ease, almost like he was stepping into a new world—a world where he wasn't a kpop idol and diana wasn't a princess, just two people enjoying a quiet moment together.
they walked side by side, the path winding through the trees, the golden autumn leaves crunching underfoot. felix took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air. it was such a simple pleasure, yet it felt so special in this moment.
