Chapter 23

Lex's pov

We've landed at London and are currently driving to our new home.

I look out the window and admire how it looks around here. Not to bad.

The car stops and my parents get out of the car. I take my seatbelt off and see my new house. Its enormous. I'm gonna like it here for sure.

We put all of our stuff in the house and unpack our stuff. I get bored so I decide to go to the coffee shop a few blocks away that I saw earlier.

"I'm gonna go to the coffee shop mom and dad bye!"

"Bye sweetie!" They both say.

I walk out the door and feel so great. The weather here is perfect for me. It's cloudy and kinda chilly. And the neighborhood looks beautiful.

I start walking on the side walk and look around.

"Alright mum bye!" I hear. I turn around and look to where I heard the voice.

I see a boy with a well done quiff and khakis with a black shirt. We lock eyes and I look away.

I hear footsteps getting louder and louder.

"Hey wait up!"

I stop in my tracks and turn around now facing the boy catching up to me.

"Hi, you're new around here aren't you?" He says with his super attractive British accent.

He starts walking with me and looks down at his feet.

"Yeah I just moved here a few hours ago. It's really beautiful here."

"I see you're from America." He chuckles. "By the way, I'm brooklyn. Brooklyn Beckham."

He's a Beckham holy shit I don't know if I should be extremely nervous or start screaming my lungs out.

"I'm Alexa. Alexa Linkwood. But you can call me Lex."

"So Lex, do you wanna go get a coffee or something?"

"Actually, I was planning on getting one on my way here." I giggle.

"Perfect!" He says.

He's so cute oh my gosh thank god i met him.

----skip to 3 hours later----

I just talked with brooklyn for nearly 2 hours and it's like he's my twin we have so much in common.

He gave me his number and we found out that we're gonna be going to the same school too!

Right now I'm in his room watching Netflix while he has me wrapped around him. He invited me over to meet his family and they're all so gorgeous and sweet.

This is gonna be a great two years.

----two years later(lol)----

So I'm on a plane flying back home. I'm gonna miss London so much and I'm definitely planning on living over there when I get older. During those two years, I picked up a British accent. Me and Brooklyn became a "thing" while I was over there but we broke up because of the distance.

He's so amazing and wonderful and I just love everything about him. He said he'll keep in touch with me every now and then by any way possible. And I'm really happy about that. He was different. He made me feel the happiness I've been in so long. And I hope we can still keep in touch for a long time because he's like my other half.

Now I'm in a plane going back to my house that I've missed oh so much.

---skip to going inside the house---

"It feels so good to be back home." I say .

"It does doesn't it?" My dad says. We all picked up a british accent there.

We just finished unpacking and im honestly really tired.

"Ooo mum and dad im gonna go to Tae's house and surprise her!" I say.

"Alright lex bye!" My mum says.

I walk out of my house and start walking to her house.

I reach her front door and knock. I feel very nervous for some reason.

The door opens and Tae is standing there with a confused look on her face.

"Tae!!!! I'm back!!!!" I say hugging her. I've missed this girl so much.

"Um who are you?"

I pull away and look at her confused.

"You don't remember me?"

"I don't recognize you."

Now I get it. You see, I've changed a lot ever since I got to London. I look like a completely different person.

Puberty happened.

"It's me. Lex."

She looks at my face and her face lights up.

"OH MY GOD YOU LOOK SO DIFFERENT AND YOUR ACCENT HOLY. I MISS YOU SO MUCH!"

"I MISS YOU TOO TAE IM SO GLAD TO BE BACK!."

"LETS GO TO DAKOTA I WANNA SEE WHAT HE SAYS ABOUT THIS." I say taking Tae's arms and dragging her.

"I don't think you wanna do tha-"

"He's gonna be so happy that I'm back."

"Lex you don't underst-"

"I missed him so much he's gonna be so happy."

We get to Dakota's door and I knock.

Dakota opens the door and looks at me confused.

"DAKOTA! ITS ME LEX! I MISS YOU SO MUCH!" I say hugging him.

"Eww don't touch me get off." He says. I pull away and look at him weird.

"Now that you're back, don't get anywhere near me and my girlfriend. We don't need to deal with your worthless self. Now go on and go be a slut some where else goodbye." He slams the door on my face.

I feel tears in my eyes but keep them back.

"I was gonna tell you that Dakota has changed. I didn't want you to go see him." Tae says.

I stay silent and look down.

"Let's go to my house I'll tell you everything that has happened." Tae says.

"Can we go get Haley first I miss her."

"No she changed too. Just as the way he did and I know you won't like it."

We walk to her house and Tae looks worried as she sits down on her bed next to me.
