Chapter 13

Dakota's pov

"I told you I would beat you at Fifa!" I say to Lex. 5 days have passed. We go back to school in 2 more days. Right now I'm currently playing Fifa with Lex. We've gotten closer ever since the kiss. And I kinda like it...

"You only won because I'm a little sore today so I couldn't really play that well so" she says.

"No it's just cause I'm good at Fifa"

"What am I?"

"Less."

She playfully smacked my arm while smiling. "What do you wanna do today Kota?"

"Anything you'll like." I say. It's her last day staying at my house. Her parents are coming back tomorrow from their trip.

"Hmmmmmm."

"What about we go find little rivers and waterfalls you know?" She says. That actually sounds like a great idea. It'll be fun to spend some time with her finding rivers and stuff like that. She always makes jokes along the way so this isn't gonna be boring.

"Sure! Let's go at....1pm?" I say looking at the time.

"Got it!" She says walking up to her room.

It's barely 11am so I'm gonna wait for the last hour to get ready.

For now I'm gonna play soccer outside.

-----skip 2 hours------

"READY ?" I say to Lex while she's still in her room.

"YEAH!" She says opening her door and coming downstairs. She's wearing black shorts with a lavender tank top. She let her hair down which makes it look more beautiful than what it already is.

"Ummm should we go?" She says.

"Uhh yeah let's go." Damnit I embarrassed myself I front of her already.

(They are both 16 in the book)

We get in the car and I start driving to our destination. It didn't take that long to get there. It looks really nice out too so this should be good.

We get out of the car and go wherever our feet leads us too.

We are still trying to find any river or lake or anything but so far nothing.

"I SWEAR I JUST SAW THAT BUSH MOVE" Lex says.

"It's probably nothing"

"IM LEAVING I DONT FUCK WITH SNAKES IF IT WAS ONE" she says turning the opposite ways.

"No no no no, let's go it'll be fine don't worry about!" I say trying to calm her down.

She turns back around and follows me.

"I'm starting to think that there's nothing here dakota we should jus-" she stopped herself when she saw a gorgeous waterfall with sparkling water.

"What were you saying?" I say just to mess with her.

"Don't start." She says.

We watch the waterfall and admire it.

"You know what fuck it I'm going in." She says. Taking off her shoes and putting her phone down.

We were standing on top of this mini cliff and it wasn't that high up so it was perfect to jump into the waterfall.

"If you're going in I wanna go in too I don't wanna be left out." I say while taking my shoes and shirt off and putting my phone down.

As she still looks down at the waterfall she turns to me and looks at my arms and abs.

She's staring at me just like I was earlier.

Niceeeeee.

"Don't worry you can have some of this later." I say.

"Oh my gosh stop." She says with a little giggle and turning back at the waterfall.

"Okay on the count of three, we'll both jump." She says to me.

"1"

"2"

"3!" She says as we both jump in.

I feel the slightly cold water and swim back up to the top. "That was so coo-" she's not there. Oh no what happened to her I can't loose her now I-

"HAHAHAHAHHAHA GUESS WHOS STILL UP HERE!" She says from the mini cliff we were both standing up on.

"Ha ha very funny."

She jumps into the water and swims to the top.

"Wow it's so pretty here." She says looking around.

"Like you." I mumble.

"Hmm?" She says still distracted.

"Nothing."

"Wait now what?" Lex says.

"Let's just swim around it's nice inside here."

As soon as I said that she went under the water and swam to the other side of the waterfall. There was a rock right under the waterfall and it looked like a nice place to sit.

She got to the rock and put herself on it.

She was distracted by the waterfall that was falling in front of her.

I swam to her under water and aimed to grab her leg and scare her.

"AHHHH!" She says putting her legs up.

"GOT YOU BACK HAH!"

"Whatever mines was funnier."

I sit on the same rock she's sitting down on and look at what she was looking.

"This is a cool place." I say.

"Yeah it is." She says still amused by the water.

I look at her and take in all her features. What was I doing with my life before? I wasted time fighting with her and not realizing that she's fucking gorgeous and amazing. Honestly I'm glad her parents left her at my house when they left for their trip.

She turns to me and notices me staring at her. She blushes a little and looks away and back at me. I start to lean in and I can see her smirk.

Our lips crash together and I feel the sparks again.

Lex's pov

It feels right to kiss those amazingly soft gentle lips on mine. Right under the waterfall. We pull away and smile at each other. He grabs my waist and hugs me with his head on my shoulder looking at the waterfall.

So much for "don't fall for him lex.".

Time passes by and I'm getting a little bored even though I have a hot guy right next to me.

"Dakota? Should we start going? We've been here for a long time and I'm getting hungry."

"Let's go get our stuff and we can drive back to the house and change to go get some food."

"Alright let's go." I say as I lower myself onto the water and swim to our stuff.

We both get there and put our shoes on and carry our phones while dakota here has a dry shirt right next to him.

We walk back and drive home with the radio on. Me and Dakota are singing to every song we know and it's really fun.

We get to the house and I quickly run upstairs to go change.

That was an amazing trip. I haven't kissed him ever since I won that bet. We've been hanging out and doing everything together. And today was the day I finally got to feel those lips again.
