Lex's pov
I was by now back at my house because my parents finally arrived from their trip. It felt good to be back at home. But now I have to go back to school in a hour.
I take a quick shower and brush my teeth. I change into black skinny jeans, baby blue tank top, with my black converse.
I curl my hair from the bottom and put on some mascara.
I grab my backpack and head downstairs. I grab an apple and hop into my parents car.
"Bye sweetie,I'll be picking you up from school!" My mom says.
"Okay thanks mom, bye!" I say back as I get out of the car and shut the door.
I walk into the hallways and go up to my locker. I take out my math book and close my locker door.
Walking to class, I pass by dakota and he gives me a small smile. I give him one back and walk into the classroom.
Feels weird to be friends with Dakota after all that has happened.
The bell rings and I sit down on my seat taking out my notebook and pen.
I see Dakota walking to his seat in back of me.
The whole entire period, everything has been fine with me and Dakota. I wasn't annoyed,angry, or frustrated with him.
The class ends and I put my stuff into my back pack and get up starting to leave the class.
"Lex!" Dakota says in back of me.
"Yes?" I say now facing him.
"Um Do you wanna hang out with me during lunch?" He says, scratching the back of his neck.
"Sure that'll be fine!" I say back.
"Okay see you then!" He says walking the other way.
---skip to end of 7th period---
I walk out of 7th period and Dakota was supposed to be walking with me since he has the same class but I can't find him. How weird.
I ignore it and run into Tae and Haley and tell them I'm gonna hang out with Dakota for lunch today. They're fine with it and go back to our lunch table.
I get to the hallways and walk upstairs to my locker. I hear some noise from afar but I don't see anything so I ignore it and continue putting my books back into my locker.
I shut the locker and turn around to find Dakota against a wall while a brunette is making out with him.
I knew I shouldn't have kissed him. I'm so stupid for falling for him. I should've known he wasn't gonna change. Now I'm stuck here with a heartbreak.
Dakota must've heard my footsteps and saw me standing there with my eyes swelling.
"Lex look, it isn't what it looks like just let me expl-"
"No Dakota. I should've known you weren't gonna change and will just use me while being out of school. Just leave me alone from now on." I say while walking to Tae and Haley.
I can't believe what I just saw. I know we're not dating and stuff but I thought for a second that he may have liked me back.
But no, he was just doing his thing. Playing girls and leaving them for another one to do the same with.
I reach the lunch table and Tae and Haley turn their heads to see me crying walking towards them.
"What happened are you okay?" Tae says.
"Lex are you okay?" Haley says while they both start hugging me to comfort me.
"D-dakota. I liked him and I thought-t he liked me but I saw him kissing a girl in-n the hallways." I say.
"Dakota is such an idiot for doing that to you. We're gonna get him back for you don't worry lex we it this." Tae said.
We pull away from the hug and sit down at the lunch table.
I explain everything that has happened while we were suspended from school and I can see the anger in their eyes.
"I got it! I have the most perfect plan!" Haley says.
We both look at her while she has a smirk on her face thinking about what she's gonna do.
