I'm not what you need right now

It's Leah's scan on her knee today and we get some answers and make a plan for the future. She's been so down which I can't blame her I even said we would go private so she can have the scan done sooner but she kept saying no and to trust Arsenal. The appointment isn't until 2.40pm so I'm currently getting some work done whilst Zade naps. "Chris?" "Yeah?" "Mums here" "oh give me a second and I will be right with you" "it's fine mum will bring Zade in here" "erm why would your mum sit in here?" "What are you talking about?" "Wait what's going on I'm confused?" "Mum is here to take me to the hospital for my scan" "why am I not taking you?" "Because your not mum is" "oh right erm it's fine I can go into the sitting room. I hope it erm goes well you know." I go into the sitting room and decide to phone Emily "I'm going now" she finally answers "hey preggo how's it going?" "Well let's see I am 3 days past my due date and little miss is showing no signs of coming." Leah comes in "Chris? Did you hear me?" "Yeah see ya, well she will come when she is ready won't she?" I just watch as Leah walks out "what's going on Chris?" "What do you mean?" "Well I just heard you and Leah talk to each other and that's not how yous talk to each other" "apparently it is now that's when she talks to me" "Chris..." "look I know what your going to say and I will always be there for her I am just letting her do what she needs to and I will be her punching bag to get her through this but that's not why I rang, I rang to see if little miss had any plans on making an appearance soon" "well my belly hasn't dropped yet sooo" "yeah I don't know what that means" "your such a man, it means she is getting herself into position to make her appearance" "I hope it's not too much longer" "tell me about it, oh Chris Lia has just got home I will speak to you later ok?" "Yeah no bother go enjoy" "I'm going to convince Lia to have sex with me to see if that helps" "I don't think it works like that with 2 women" "I don't care."

After saying goodbye and hanging up I get sorted putting Zade in the car "ok little man time to go get your brother." I drive to the school to pick Xander up "hey bubs did you have a good day?" "Yes mummy" "that's good how do you feel about going to the park?" "Yeah I go on the slide" "sounds fun." I drive to the park near our house and Xander runs around as I push Zade on the swing "Chris?" "Oh hey Jen how's it going?" "Alright, erm aren't you supposed to be at the hospital with Leah?" "She didn't want me to go with her but it's fine because I can keep the boys busy" "Chris?" "Yeah?" "It will be alright you know that don't you?" "Yeah I know that and I think I know what I need to do to help" "you're not planning on leaving are you?" "No chance" "good, well I have to get home so I will see you soon" "see you soon Jen." I stay at the park with kids for a couple of hours "mummy I hungry" "come on the baby let's get yous home."

I put the boys back in the car "what do you want for tea then?" "Fish fingers" "I can do that, do you want beans or peas?" "Beans please" "is this so you can have a smelly bum?" Xander starts laughing "I don't have a smelly bum mummy" "you will after your beans." When we get home and I get the boys out of the car Xander runs straight inside "hi mama" "there you are where the hell have you been I've been worried" "mummy took us to the park" "you could of rang or text but then that would mean you would have to talk to me Leah and we both know that can't happen, I'll go make your tea baby." I go into the kitchen putting the oven on and starting the boys tea then look for something I can make Leah. Once everything is cooked I go into the sitting room "teas ready." I pick Zade up and go put him in his high chair putting a bib on him "time to get messy mister, Xander what do you want to drink?" "Orange juice please" "Okie doke."

After giving everyone their tea I go to run Zades bath "where are you going?" "I'm just going to run the bath" "are you not eating?" "I'm not hungry right now." I go up and start running the bath getting my composure back before going downstairs "have you been crying?" "No, my haven't we made a mess good job I didn't clean the house today" "mummy I on a trip tomorrow" "a trip? What trip?" "To the zoo" "he was just talking about it" "I'll check his book bag to see if there is a permission slip" "Chris get some tea please" "I will when everything is sorted." I start cleaning up the kitchen starting with my mess "mummy all finished" "ok so bring your plate over here please" "ok mummy." Xander brings his plate over and I show him how to rinse his plate and put it in the dishwasher "good boy I love you" "love you mummy" "go on go play."
