Sophie looked different than how scarlet had seen her the last time- her hair was rugged, her eyes even more red...and one of her eyes completely having a mind of its own. She looked pale- sick even. Scarlet couldn't help but feel bad.
" I thought you changed.." scarlet whispered, feeling guilt wash over her, seeing the mistake she made and not trusting Kal or the others.
All scarlet heard was laughter in a dark tone.
" oh, I know. But...it's not that easy scarlet." Suddenly she lunged into attack, but as she did, scarlet moved out of the way. she instead tackled Kal.
" no stop it!" Scarlet threw a magic blast into the air, stunning Sophie for a second.
Scarlet noticed something. On her neck-it was a necklace and it seemed to be glowing. It looked useful and scarlet was certainly one for old elemental tech and objects.
" kal, keep her busy." She said as she crept behind Sophie, and ripped the necklace off of her.
Sophie opened a portal, tossing Kal inside and closing it right after.
" oh no.."
Sophie slowly turned. Lifting one hand in the air, creating a huge tornado, ripping apart half of the once-sunny forest.
" why? I really thought you were different...I thought you were..my friend" scarlet crouched and cradled herself, powerless against Sophie.
She looked up abit. She saw her, a glint of sadness in Sophie's eyes. She blinked.
The wind felt soft once again, and everything looked normal. She saw Kal next to her, sleeping.
" it was all a dream..thank god." She sighed and got up. But she went pale at what she saw. The necklace- that Sophie was wearing, was in her hand.
" w-what?" She gasped....
Kal started shifting.
Scarlet quickly put the necklace in her bag and prodded him with her hand.
" let's get moving."
