Leo sat in Sophie's room, waiting for her to speak.
He shifted slightly at the awkwardness of the situation, and she didn't take her time to question it. She rambled through everything in her drawers, cabinets, under the bed- everything.
Leo turned his head to look at her.
" Sophie...what are you looking for?" He noticed her face. It was different. So different. She has never seemed like this before.
"Are you okay...?" He asked, worried.
She shot a glance at him, her eyes shaking.
" no....i...." Her words trailed off as she looked back to the ground.
Leo got up and bent down with her.
"Sophie, you can tell me. We are friends, right?"
She breathes heavily and lowered her widened eyes.
" Leo. I think moonlight has done something to one of the elements. Something bad." She said with shakiness.
His eyes widened.
" w-what! Who? And how do you know?"
" I just hope it isn't scarlet. Listen...I have this, moon crescent necklace...sort of thing and in it is moonlights power. I kept it so moonlight can't get to us again. But overtime it became hard to handle, so I locked it away somewhere...last time I checked it was in here..but I'm afraid moonlight has somehow gotten ahold of this necklace. And she may be using it for no good. My powers have been limited, too. I reckon that might be because of thi-"
"No, Soph. Trust me, you just need to rest a little..and your powers will come back to you. After all, they are completely yours right? That's what we were told when oasis created us."
"Thanks, Leo. But your forgetting I'm a disharmony element. I'm not...that....anymore.."
" that?"
" peace."
" surely the rule applies to you still? Just rest. I'll find scarlet and the others for you. Bunny and star said they wanted to come up and talk to you, if that okay?" Leo asked before getting up.
" uh, sure. Thank you. I'm glad someone in your group can tolerate me".
" tolerate? We are friends! I don't just tolerate you, I respect you and love you for you!"
Sophie smiled,
" thanks. I respect you and love you for you aswell, Leo"
He smiled and went down stairs.
Opal, Lizz, Izzy, bunny and star were waiting for him.
" so? Is she okay? What's going on? You spent quite awhile there." Opal asked.
He sat down next to her, blushing slightly at how close they were. Lizz giggled.
" I've got some news. Turns out a moon necklace thing Sophie has been defending has moonlights power in it...and it's gone. She thinks someone from one of our groups has been in contact with moonlight...and moonlight has done something bad? Also her powers are not working at all, so I said she should rest for the remainder of the week. I said if look out for scarlet and the others...anyone wanna help?" Leo explained.
Opal nodded.
Everyone else looked worried.
" do not worry. I'll come with you, Leo. We will find the rest together, and make sure nothing bad reaches any of us." Opal said determined that they would achieve this high standard goal.
Leo smiled awkwardly.
" let's do it!"
" I hope Maisy is okay! I really miss her company!" Lizz blurted.
Leo raised an eyebrow.
" how about Kal?"
She shot him an unexplainable look, and stayed silent.
" oh right...you uh...broke up. Sorry I forgot.."
" it's fine. Anyways, we will wait here for you and keep Sophie in check. Good luck lovebirds!" Lizz said cheerfully.
Opal laughed, Leo went bright red but shook it off.
" haha, very funny Lizz. Anyways, wish us luck!"
They opened the door.
"Bye guys! Good luck." Coco smiled and waved.
" I'm gonna miss this tower."
Bunny and star giggled amongst themselves and waved them bye, whilst Lizz nodded.
As they left Leo looked up at Sophie's window in the tower, only to see...the words 'CRACKERJACK' written with...blood..?
" AH!" He screamed in terror, but when he blinked, it was..gone. Huh. Weird...
Opal held him close.
" woah! Are you okay?"
" sorry I...thought I saw something.." he rubbed his head.
She nodded.
" do tell me if your seeing things. It might be moonlights evil work." She huffed.
" I will, gorgeous- I mean Opal"
She smiled.
" watch that tongue crazy kat~" she joked.
" come on, fly me up there and I'll speed us-"
" I think I know where to go."
" yeah?"
" crackerjack forest"
Opals face lost colour.
" how do you know about that place..?"
" I...I saw it...written in Sophie's window in what looked like blood."
Opal looked worried.
" don't worry, let's go there and find whoever is in trouble."
Leo swiftly stretched his wings and flew Opal up, and she sped them along the trees of the friendship forest, to the dark forest, the berrintalot village, and other beautiful places. They finally reached their destination. It was cold. Too cold. Something happened here.
