Scarlet and Kal stopped walking to check where they were for a moment.
" hey, Kal. I'm really tired. Do you think this was all a big mistake?" Scarlet asked.
" what?"
" you know, looking for summer. For all we know, she could be dead.."
" scarlet! Remember, elements don't die!"
" that's just what I told you guys to make you not afraid. I'm not actually sure about that.." scarlet looked away with guilt.
Kal looked stunned to hear it.
" so I've been risking my life out there for ages thinking we couldn't die! Are you kidding me?" Kal argued,but scarlet was growing tired.
" I don't wanna fight again. Let's just keep going."
" keep going? You fucking lied to us! This entire time!" Kal huffed and barged his way in front, snatching the map from off her hands.
" hey,Kal-" scarlet heaved a sigh but let it go, She had more to worry about than this.
" I know we've already rested, but I think we need it this time...we have been tiring ourselves out with this arguing." Scarlet sighed and sat down once they reached a place called "gemstone peak", a place where you can go mine for diamonds and ruby's and all sorts of stuff. The view was breaktaking, the night sky was getting darker, revealing more shining stars than ever before.
" Kal?" Scarlet gestured him over.
He huffed but sat down next to her anyway, and just stared into the sky.
Beep! Beep!
" was that..?"
" OMGOMGOMGOMG WHAT DO I DO" scarlet screamed in panic.
" I was gonna say your phone, but it seems much more complex! What is it?!"
" the necklace! The necklace! It's vibrating! What do I do?"
" what necklace? Scarlet, are you alright? Did you hit your head or something?"
Scarlet realised she never told him about it, so she used this as a chance to do so now that the secret was out.
" I-...Kal..I had a dream the other night, of Sophie. She was..well, not really herself and we fought abit...and I stole this necklace from off her and I ended up getting it in reality!" Scarlet said, sort of confused since she couldn't remember the dream very well.
Kal looked in shock.
" scarlet...you know you can't get any object or anything from your dream into the real world, right?.." he looked worried.
" I mean..yes I guess but maybe-"
" maybe someone has been giving you hallucinations.." Kal interrupted
Scarlets heart sank. She didn't ever theorise THAT! She hoped he was wrong, because if that were true, the person behind it clearly has no good intention. She calmed down a-bit and looked at the stars.
Kal took his eyes away from the stars and looked at scarlet.
" you know, today is a meteorite shower..I saw it on my phone not long ago. You picked a good time to rest..ha" he laughed quietly to himself and locked eye contact with scarlet.
He blushed a red colour and broke away the contact immediately.
" well I'm glad I have you to watch it with," she said as she scooted a little closer to him.
" scarlet.. can we t-"
" woah, look Kal, look!" Scarlet gasped and pointed to the sky.
Rocks from a distance were ablaze and firing down, making a beautiful view.
They both watched in silence.
" what did you want to say, Kal?" She smiled.
" oh, uh..never mind!"
" alright then..come on, let's get some sleep! Tomorrow we WILL find Summer.."
She said and started resting.
Beep! Beep!
" oh shoot I forgot about that!" Scarlet said. She looked at Kal, who was already sleeping.
" I'll be right back"
She went to a nearby tree to rest her back, and took the necklace with her.
It vibrated. And scarlet could almost hear it calling her name.
" should I put you on?" She asked, aware she'd get no answer.
" only one way to find out what's going on.."
She took the moon necklace and put it on.
