"And she shoots... and she scores! Jayde Kingfisher, 3-1 to Romeo Beckham," Cruz commentates, blowing the black whistle around his neck.
"The game has now finished and Romeo has just gotten beaten by a girl," Cruz further commentates, reaching down to get his Cadbury chocolate bar.
"Wow, you're good," Romeo said, taking a sip of water from his Adidas bottle. I blushed, although you probably couldn't tell because my face was already tomato red from running around so much.
"Thanks," I replied, breathless. "You're not so bad yourself."
There was an awkward silence, Romeo and I sipping from our bottles and Cruz eating a chocolate bar and for some reason was standing behind Romeo. I raise my eyebrow at him, his mouth covered with chocolate.
"What are you doing?" I mouthed. Romeo still hadn't realised Cruz was behind him. Cruz raised his hands, which were smothered with dirt and mud. I gave him a thumbs up and silently chuckled.
"Ay, Romeo, you have a bug on your shirt," Cruz says, patting his shoulder. The right side of his white Real Madrid jersey had turned brown, mud everywhere.
"Can you get it off, Cruz?" Romeo says, sounding bored. While Cruz was slapping his back supposedly trying to kill the bug, he was actually smothering the back of his shirt with dirt, which he was getting from behind the wooden ledge.
"I think I've got it," he finally said. It was just a fly. It's half-dead now," he said, laughing a bit. Romeo was starting to get suspicious.
"Urgh, don't tell me you put mud all over my back. You can't be serious," Romeo says, rolling his eyes. He took his arms out of the shirt sleeves and turned the shirt around. "Great. Cruz? How do you explain this?"
"Erm, that... um... no... that... wasn't me..." Cruz seemed to be prepared for this moment as he bolted across the field. Romeo took off his dirty shirt and chucked it to me.
"Take this for me Jayde? Give it to my mum. Tell her it's all Cruz's fault," he said, before bolting after his 10 year old brother.
