"And this is Stephanie. She'll be doing your makeup and hair and manage your closet. Enjoy Jayde!" Ronnie said, pursing his lips and toddling off to Romeo, pushing him away from us. I stared at this 'Stephanie' girl. Her dirty blonde hair was tied up into a messy bun, a sparkly butterfly clip in her hair. Her skin was lightly tanned, her physique skinny and tall, her legs long. She wore a pair of denim jeans and a v-neck pink t-shirt top. She was extremely beautiful and looked in her mid-20s.
"So, I'm Stephanie. And I guess I'll be your make-up person for today," she beamed at me, ushering me into the big, leather chair. She put a hairdressing cape around me. It was quite big; the cape reached right down to my Converses.
'Ashley! Can you come over and do Jayde's hair?" Stephanie shouted across the room. A flustered middle age women waddled over quickly. She wiped her forehead, brushing away some of her brown locks.
"Gosh, it's busy today. Shanali and Mel and the twins have come in for an extra shoot as well. Gosh! Today is madness!" Ashley exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air. She pursed her lips as she grabbed a clip from the dressing table, scrunching my hair up into an extremely messy bun, leaving the bottom layer of hair so she could straighten it. She plugged in the straightener, waiting a few minutes for it to get hotter while brushing my wavy hair. Stephanie, although, was in front of me, gathering makeup brushes and eyeshadow palettes.
"This may take about half an hour, Jayde. So please be patient and don't move around," Stephanie said, her voice stern. She wiped my face with a cleanser and began to brush foundation over my face. I listened to the shouts of makeup artists and clattering of tins of makeup brushes on the floor. Models had their hair wrapped in towels and a fluffy robe gathered around them. I tried to zone in to their sounds, trying to relax myself, even while makeup brushes and eyeliner pencils were brushing sorely against my face.
It seemed like an eternity when Stephanie had finished my simple makeup. Ashley was still straightening my wavy hair, clips digging into my scalp.
"Stephanie, get some common sense, get off your phone and help me please," Ashley said, urgency in her voice. "Just help me straighten the top layer and then you're done," Ashley continued, undoing the purple hair clip that was grasping into my scalp.
Stephanie rushed over, plonking her iPhone 6 on the table. She grabbed the hot straightener from Ashley's hand. "I swear this won't take too long Jayde. You've been sitting in this chair for about 30 minutes, and I see your getting pretty uneasy," she smiled at me through the mirror.
It was only a few minutes before Stephanie had given my hair a final brush down. She walked over to the white costume closet, revealing a signature Burberry trench coat and a lace, white summer dress with long sleeves on the inside. She tossed me a pair of black Doc Martens and grey stockings, taking me to one of the empty change rooms. I closed the lock, taking off my shoes and clothes. I was trying as hard as I could not to mess up the straightened hair. I put on the dress, through my legs first instead of putting it over my head. It had a open back shaped as a love-heart, and I was struggling to close the button clasp. I slowly opened the change room, telling Stephanie to come in. She walked long strides into the change room, helping me button the clasp together.
"You look beautiful Jayde," she said, as I tossed the Burberry trench coat over my shoulders. " Romeo will get a shock when he sees you."
"Thanks," I smiled. I pulled on the grey stockings which were extremely sheer. I put on the Docs, which Stephanie laced up for me.
"I think you're all ready for shooting Jayde," Stephanie said as she smoothed out my dress. She unlocked the change room door, leading me down a plain white hallway, to a room titled 'Photo Shooting'.
"Wish you luck."

I slowly turned the polished golden doorknob, peering inside the room. Romeo was standing there on top of a wooden box, while Ronnie was fixing up his hair and smoothing down his clothes. He jerked around suddenly and gave me one of his creepy smiles.
"Oh Jayde! How wonderful to see you again. Come in, come in," Ronnie said. "You can go and sit on one of the wooden boxes with Romeo for now, we just need a bit of time to fix up the cameras." Ronnie stalked off to the cameraman who was taking our photoshoot photos, helping him adjust the lenses. I trudged off to the wooden box that Romeo was now sitting on, plonking down beside him.
"Don't you find Ronnie a bit crazy sometimes?" I asked him, talking in a softer voice than usual, hoping Ronnie wouldn't hear.
"Yes, Ronnie can be quite a nut job," Romeo chuckled. I chuckled along with him, pulling on my trench coat. Romeo was staring at me.
"What? Do I have a bug on me?" I laughed off. Romeo blushed a deep shade of tomato red, looking down at his polished shoes.
"No, you don't. It's just that you look quite pretty, Jayde," he blushed a deeper shade of red, before taking a quick glance up at me, then looking back at his shoes again.
"You're not so bad yourself," I said back, taking a look at his white tuxedo shirt and black bow tie, down to his black jeans.
"Can you two stop eyeballing each other? We have some important modelling to do!" Ronnie shouted, clapping his hands.
Way to ruin the party, Ronnie.
