Roseanne and Lisa are spending a summer weekend at Lisa's family's old countryside house, helping to clear out the attic as part of a renovation project. The house is filled with memories and relics from the past, creating a nostalgic and slightly mysterious atmosphere.
Lisa has always been introspective, but as she grew older, she found herself grappling with deeper questions about her identity, desires, and place in the world. During her teenage years, Lisa experienced a range of intense emotions, from exhilaration to confusion and everything in between.
Writing in a diary provided a private space to explore these thoughts without judgement. It became a safe haven where she could unload these emotions, helping her to manage anxiety and stress.
As Lisa's feelings for Roseanne grew, so did her need to articulate these emotions in some form. These entries about Roseanne started as a way to process her own feelings, but they also served as a hypothetical conversation with Roseanne, a way to say things she wasn't yet ready to express aloud.
.
Upon Roseanne and Lisa's arrival at her family's quaint countryside abode, Lisa's mother greeted them at the door with warmth.
"Mama!" Roseanne exclaimed, her affection palpable as they embraced.
"I've missed you so much. It's wonderful to see you again." With a fond smile, Lisa's mother returned the sentiment.
"And I've missed you both. Now, girls, I'll be off to grandma's for the weekend. Please, don't tear the house upside down while I'm away. Leave that for the professionals."
With a playful nod, Roseanne and Lisa watched her depart before turning their attention back to the cozy interior of the house.
"Alright, I'll head down to the basement," Lisa declared.
"Okay, then I'll tackle the attic. We'll meet in the middle!" Roseanne replied enthusiastically.
Before long, both girls disappeared to their respective tasks with determination.
Roseanne, while sorting through boxes filled with old photographs and dusty books, discovers a small, worn-out diary tucked away in a forgotten corner. Curiosity piqued, she hesitates but ultimately decides to open it. The diary belongs to Lisa and contains entries that span several years.
As Roseanne reads, she learns about Lisa's deeper thoughts and feelings, many of which were lustful thoughts of Roseanne. Entries also describe moments they shared, seen from Lisa's perspective, revealing a depth of emotion Roseanne had never realized Lisa felt. Roseanne is aroused from reading but also confused about how to address these revelations with Lisa.
A sudden summer storm unleashed its fury, trapping Roseanne and Lisa inside the house, the power succumbed to darkness. Amidst the flickering candlelight and the symphony of raindrops, Lisa's heart raced with concern, knowing Roseanne's fear of thunderstorms. Without hesitation, she rushed up to the attic in search of her brunette friend.
"Roseanne? Roseanne! Are you okay?!" Lisa's voice echoed through the attic, laced with concern.
Caught off guard, Roseanne swiftly concealed the book she had been perusing, though not quick enough to evade Lisa's keen gaze.
"What is that?" Lisa inquired, her curiosity piqued.
"N-nothing?" Roseanne stammered, panic evident in her voice.
"That looks a bit familiar... HOLY SHIT, GIVE IT BACK TO ME!" Lisa urged, her anxiety palpable but not quite reaching the point of a scream.
Roseanne decides it's now or never to confront Lisa about the diary. However, as the thunder roared menacingly, Roseanne squatted down and covered her head with the book. Lisa's anxiety reached its peak as she watched Roseanne's reaction. The sudden display of vulnerability coupled with the booming thunder caused Lisa's soul to figuratively leave her body, leaving her frozen.
