With a sweet and confident smile, Dazai bent down to Chuuya. He gently lifted him into his arms, as if he were something precious and fragile, and carried him away from the dark room that had been his prison for months. The new room he brought him to was different: cozy, warm, with soft-lit walls and a large bed at the center, inviting rest. The air was light, almost pleasant, and the tension Chuuya had built up over time began to melt away, like snow under the sun.
Dazai gently placed him on the bed, caressing his cheek before lying next to him. The bed was soft, comfortable, a complete contrast to the cold and rigidity of his imprisonment. Chuuya, now too tired to resist, let himself go. Dazai's arms wrapped around him in a warm, protective embrace, and for the first time in months, Chuuya felt safe. Every tense muscle relaxed, melting into the embrace as if he had always been meant to be there, in Dazai's arms.
Dazai gently placed a hand on his head, stroking his hair with a familiar gesture. "Are you ready to forget everything?" he whispered softly, his voice like a hypnotic melody weaving through Chuuya's confused thoughts.
Chuuya hesitated, a brief shadow of doubt crossing his mind. Forget everything... Why did it feel wrong? There was a part of him that still tried to resist, a remnant of who he had been before. But then, like a sudden flash, those words repeated in his mind: I must obey. It was inevitable. He had to do what Dazai wanted because he now belonged only to him.
"Yes," he finally mumbled, almost mechanically, as his body relaxed further against Dazai's.
A second later, a sharp pain pierced his head, as if fire were burning through his thoughts. Chuuya moaned, unconsciously clinging to Dazai, seeking comfort, but he couldn't stop what was happening. His memories began to shatter, one by one, like glass breaking on the floor. Faces, voices, emotions, everything started to disappear.
In their place, new images began to form, memories not his own, but now felt as his. He saw himself beside Dazai, a villain, a destroyer. No longer a hero, but the most trusted ally of the most feared man. The hatred for humanity grew in his chest, a contempt fueled by years of suffering and deceit. The conviction that men were corrupt, that they deserved nothing but disdain, took root in him, mixing with his unconditional love for Dazai.
He was a new Chuuya, a Chuuya who lived to serve Dazai, who loved him with blind, absolute devotion. The memories of the last few months, the brainwashing, the imprisonment... all started to dissolve, evaporating like a dream that had never existed. Even his original memories—of battles, friendships, honor—faded, replaced by this new identity, built on lies and manipulation.
When the pain in his head faded, Chuuya found himself abandoned to this new reality. He opened his eyes, staring at Dazai's face, and for a moment, he looked at him with the only feeling left intact: love. "I'm ready," he whispered, his words now calm and determined.
Dazai smiled, triumphant, holding him tighter. "Welcome, Chuuya. At last, you are mine."
