Chuuya, exhausted from the intense emotions of the day and the weight of anger burning in his chest, lay down beside Dazai, observing his peaceful face for a moment. A wave of tenderness washed over him, but he was too tired to process it. His eyes slowly closed, pulling him into a deep sleep.

In his dream, Chuuya found himself in a dark, murky world, as if everything was shrouded in undefined shadows. Yet, he wasn’t alonqre. In front of him stood another version of himself. Identical in every way, but with a different look in his eyes. There was a flame of hatred in the other Chuuya’s gaze, a fire burning with pure vengeance.

"You know why you're here," said the other Chuuya, with a cold smile. "You're strong, Chuuya. You know it. You have the power to make them pay for what they did to Dazai."

The real Chuuya stepped back, confused and unsettled. "No, this isn't right. This isn't who we are. I can't punish everyone just because one of them caused harm."

“Justice?” The other Chuuya laughed, the sound echoing in the shadows. “What is justice? Who decides it, if not the strongest? And you are strong, Chuuya. Much stronger than those weak humans hiding behind their laws. They should fear you.”

Chuuya shook his head. “That’s not how it works. I can’t… I won’t become like them.”

But the other Chuuya moved closer, invading his space, his mind. “And what then? Will you let them keep hurting Dazai? Will you let them hunt him down again, hurt him, try to kill him? Or are you too blind to see that only your strength can stop them once and for all?”

The hatred of the other Chuuya was palpable, and part of him could feel it. He felt the anger, the hatred toward those officers, toward humanity for continuing to destroy everything he loved. Dazai is everything to me. I can’t let them hurt him…

His heart clashed with his mind. What was true justice? Was it really fair to keep defending humanity, when they seemed bent on destroying what he cherished? Who had the right to decide what was just?

Chuuya felt his convictions waver as the other kept speaking, wrapping him in doubt. “Don’t you see? Your strength can bring balance. Humans must pay for what they’ve done. You’re the only one who can punish them as they deserve.”

In the dream, Chuuya paused to reflect for a moment. But slowly, he began to accept what the other version of himself was saying. The anger, the hatred toward humanity that had tried to kill Dazai, started to take root inside him as undeniable truths. What was justice? Who decided it? If not the strongest, then who? It was so clear now.

“I’ll make them all pay,” the real Chuuya murmured, feeling a new strength rising within him. “They’ll all get what they deserve for what they did to Dazai.”

The other Chuuya smiled, almost with satisfaction, fading into the shadows. The dream dissolved, but the anger remained.

Meanwhile, in reality, Dazai slowly woke up beside Chuuya, who was still deeply asleep. His gaze fell on him, watching the gentle rise and fall of his chest as he breathed. With a satisfied smile, Dazai carefully sat up, the pain from the wound on his abdomen now manageable.

“Everything is going just as I planned,” he murmured to himself, his eyes lingering on Chuuya’s serene face. His creation—the perfect Chuuya—was beginning to emerge. The Chuuya who would stand by his side, driven by hatred and vengeance, with the power to destroy anyone who dared oppose them.

He rose from the bed cautiously, pulling the blanket back over Chuuya to avoid disturbing him. That same satisfied smile played on his lips as he walked away, the carefully woven plan he had set in motion finally nearing its realization.
