Chuuya fought with all his strength to resist, but Dazai’s gaze was an inescapable trap. The world around him began to lose definition, sounds dulled, and the air seemed to grow denser. A sense of emptiness crept into his mind.
"I… I can’t… let you…” Chuuya stammered, feeling his own words fade, like a distant echo.
Dazai chuckled, his voice soft and velvety. “Oh, Chuuya, are you trying to fight me? I find it delightful… But you know well that, in the end, you’ll give in. No one can resist me. Not even you.”
Dazai’s eyes seemed to gleam, as if they held an unfathomable depth. Chuuya knew he shouldn’t keep looking, but something deep inside him refused to look away. It was as if he were chained to that invisible power, trapped.
“Close your eyes, Chuuya,” Dazai continued, his tone hypnotic. “Let go. You don’t have to fight. You’re tired, aren’t you? Just a moment, and it will all be over.”
Chuuya’s legs wavered, his body grew heavy, as if gravity itself were working against him. His consciousness drifted between clarity and oblivion. A voice within him screamed to resist, but Dazai’s words were like a veil of fog that wrapped around his mind.
“I… don’t want…” Chuuya whispered, but his will was weakening.
Dazai moved even closer, his voice a whisper near Chuuya’s ear. “You don’t need to want anything, Chuuya. Let me handle everything. You just have to… trust me.”
Chuuya’s eyelids drooped slightly. His once unbreakable resolve now crumbled slowly under the weight of Dazai’s words. With each passing second, his body and mind relaxed more and more, as if trapped in a dream he couldn’t escape.
“Look at me, Chuuya,” Dazai commanded, his voice now low and firm, laced with an authority that couldn’t be ignored.
Chuuya obeyed, his eyes now fixed on Dazai’s. He felt something inside him break—a bond that had anchored him to his own will. Everything around him faded, as if the entire world had reduced to just Dazai’s piercing eyes.
“There’s only me… and you,” Dazai continued, gently stroking his face. “Now you’re mine, Chuuya. There’s nothing left to fear.”
Chuuya said nothing. He couldn’t anymore. His breathing was slow, his mind wrapped in a dark lethargy. He had fallen under Dazai’s control, unable to rebel.
