After two days of uninterrupted sleep, Chuuya finally woke up. He stretched slightly in bed, his muscles still stiff from the long rest, and immediately felt a strange emptiness in his stomach. Hunger hit him suddenly, reminding him how long it had been since he last ate.

Just then, the door to the room opened silently, revealing Dazai entering with a tray full of food. His smile was warm, but with that usual hint of mischief in his eyes. “Good morning, Chuuya,” he said in a sweet tone. “You’ve been asleep for two whole days.”

Still groggy, Chuuya ran a hand through his hair, trying to gather his thoughts. “Two days?” he repeated, surprised. “I don’t even feel that tired, just hungry.” Then, with a slight annoyance in his head, he recalled their last fight. “Anyway… I don’t feel any pain, just hunger. It must’ve been that fight against those heroes a while back.” The words came out naturally, without the slightest suspicion that this was a memory manipulated by Dazai.

Dazai smirked, pleased with the result of his mental manipulation, and placed the tray on the bed. “Well, then it’s time to fill your stomach,” he said with a light laugh. Chuuya wasted no time and began devouring the breakfast enthusiastically, as if he hadn’t eaten in days… which he hadn’t.

As Chuuya ate, Dazai sat on the edge of the bed, watching him with amusement. “You know,” he said in a slightly teasing tone, “I never would’ve thought you’d sleep so deeply. You’re usually so… restless.”

Chuuya raised an eyebrow and replied sarcastically, his mouth still full, “Tsk, that’s because I’m finally in a comfortable bed, idiot. You’d sleep for days too if you could.” He said it with his usual sharp and sarcastic tone, but there was a sense of camaraderie in his words that made them seem like a perfectly matched pair. Dazai chuckled quietly, enjoying the familiar scene.

After a few minutes of silence, as Chuuya finished eating, Dazai stood up and adjusted the collar of his shirt, ready to leave. “I need to take care of a few things outside,” he said casually.

Chuuya, with a determined look and an almost possessive tone, immediately replied, “You’re not going anywhere.” It was more of a declaration than a question, as if he were making it clear that Dazai shouldn’t leave him alone.

Dazai chuckled, leaning slightly toward him. “Oh, really? And who’s going to stop me?” he replied with a mischievous smirk, though deep down, he appreciated this possessiveness that had become part of the new Chuuya, completely tied to him.
