Taylor's POV
The soft glow in the morning went through my curtains and woke me up. My cats purred calmly as I stretched and grabbed some water and my slippers. Then, I went to make coffee and I listened to my favorite song as I waited. Once it was ready, I sat on my porch, feeling relaxed.
After my usual morning routine, I read my book for a while before receiving a text from Travis. I had his number for our job, be he also said I was welcome to text him if I needed to l.

His nickname for me has given me a ray of sunshine. I was honestly grateful for the unexpected connection I shared with him. His text lingered in my mind, giving me a smile everytime I thought about it
The sun was starting to set, giving the city a warm glow as I was getting ready to meet Gracie and Selena at the restaurant. Since it was our weekend off, we decided to meet up so we can become better friends. I loved helping people in my job but it was so nice to finally have a break from it. My three beloved cats were meowing and I went to feed them their dinner, knowing I would probably be gone for a while.
I started to get ready, going to the shower ,with my anticipation of the evening with Gracie and Selena, feeling very excited. I was happy to be getting to know them more than just at my job.
I became more excited, if that was possible, every passing second. I carefully picked out my dress, picking my shiny blue one. I thought that would suit the night ahead of me.
After I got changed, I decided on simple makeup and I put on my favorite perfume, which smelled like vanilla and pink flowers. Then, I picked up my silver heels as I sat down and grabbed my phone, texting Selena and Gracie that I would be on my way soon.
