Part 27

Amahle's POV

I get awakened by the deafening sound of my alarm that's determined to burst my eardrums.The sun rays immediately penetrate my eyes as I slowly open them."Oh...what a terrible way to start a Saturday morning!" I say to myself as I slowly sit up.I switch off my alarm and rub my now painful eyes due to the amount of light that pierced through them.I'm taken out of my worry by one thought and one thought only...everyone will now see me as ME!

That thought makes me excitedly jolt out of bed nearly breaking one of my legs,a sudden tint of adrenaline pumping through my veins.I quickly make my bed and then clear my room before heading straight to the bathroom.After showering, I start moisturizing my body and then wear my yellow sunflower printed dress.By the way,sunflowers are my favorite flowers so if you want a way to my heart,you know what to get me(wink).I take my own time doing my hair before putting on few jewelry and spraying some perfume.I have a feeling that I'll be getting one-too many hugs today which is why I need to smell good.Well I do every day but you know what I mean,lol.

I'm taken out of my daze by my phone ringing on top of my bed.I walk towards it and then respond.
*PHONE CONVERSATION *
Me:Amahle speaking,hello?
I say with a smile on my face.It's really a proud day to be an Amahle when you know that someone out there isn't posing as you!
Cleo:Someone is in a good mood today
Me:Mhmm and that someone is me,girl.
Cleo:Who is this woman and where did my boss go?!
I slightly giggle and then become serious again.
Me:You called?
Cleo:I have news to tell you.
Me:Go on...
I say as I take a seat on the bed.
Cleo:Firstly,the Josephine's are happy with the work you put in.
Me:Mhmmm they should be because this was the last time I was working with them.Those people made sure to make my job difficult,yhu ha.a.
Cleo:(chuckling)Moving forward,you have a zoom meeting with the big boss scheduled for 17:00pm,this evening.
My eyes bulge out of my sockets as I release a rather harsh gasp.I've never even seen this big boss before which is why I'm kind of petrified right now.What if I did something wrong or mayb...
Cleo:(teasingly)Tell me that's not my boss being scared.
Me:Uhmm,of course not.Why would I be scared?
I say trying to sound convincing earning myself a little giggle from Cleo.
Me:(clearing throat)Uh...Uhm....do you perhaps know what he wants?
Cleo:Who said it was a he? She is very much a woman,please.
Me:Oh

I almost release a sigh of relief until my mind reminds me of how women are,how we are! Some women are just too demanding and have a lot to say.For all I know,I probably did something wrong that I'm not even aware of and she might just fire me on the spot.Yeah,women are that unpredictable which is why I prefer working with men because they are straight up and are business-minded.They don't worry about your appearance, status and other unnecessary details about you that won't bring money to the table.I'm definitely not trying to sound stereotypical or something like that because what I'm saying is the truth!

Cleo:You're doing it again
Me:What?
Cleo:...overthinking things
Me:(sigh)Sorry you can go on...
Cleo:I do not know what she wants to talk to you about.From what I have gathered from other workers,she is very...actually never mind I'm going to stress you even more.
Oh no that can't be good.
Me:No tell me Cleo.I guarantee you that I can take it.
Cleo:Lastly,someone who goes by the name Rachel ,called the office.Does that name perhaps ring a bell?
She asks in attempt of dismissing me so I play along.
Me:Yeah.Rachel is someone who brought a business proposal forward for me.It's about my business so don't worry about that
Cleo:Okay then.Don't forget to finish the project before Monday.The Jafta's came by to remind you of it.
Me:Oh alright.Send me a file that will prompt me about the boss lady.
Cleo:Okay,coming right up.Have a good day and prepare yourself well.
Me:One more thing...send me the Thompson's number,please.
Cleo:Okay on it.

I drop the call and stand up so I can finish getting ready for my day.I head out to the dining area and find Hlelo,Lazola and Phindile conversing with one another.
Me:Morning
They greet back as I also take a seat.
Hlelo:You look so beautiful
Me:Thank you babe
I say as I grab a bowl.I pour myself one cup of very-berry muesli and yogurt and then start eating.
Lazola:So are you ready to reunite with your blood?
I nod my head while chewing.When I'm done I say...
Me:Mhmm.More than ever!
He nods and continues with his own breakfast.When I'm done,I grab one of the plates and start dishing up for myself.I dish up some green salad,2 eggs,1 vienna,1 boerewors and then 4 toasted slices of brown bread.A girl has got to feed her tummy.Akudlalwa ngokutya mntase.I pour myself some orange juice and then start indulging myself.We all continue eating our breakfast in silence.We finish eating and then everyone goes to their respective places as I head to the lounge.
