This wasn't the first time Unten had driven for his new employer but this was the first time he was driving to some... illicit activity. And he'd be involved. Last time, talking to the therapist, he could justify it to himself. It was just recruitment... Immoral perhaps but not necessarily illegal.

This was... this was the point of no return. Once he did this job, he'd be committed and Unten now understood why Dragon had asked him to be a driver. The others... Rakura, Shibou and Goumanya had been allowed to walk away with the quirks Dragon had given them. As far as Unten could tell, the boy hadn't followed up on them at all. The teen had asked him to be his driver and... It was because of the quirk.

Still it was work and it wasn't that challenging. And he had been practising with the quirk Dragon had given him. Only with people who knew what he was doing but, he knew why the teen had wanted him on call.

"This is going to work. It's not going to work," the man riding with the teen muttered.

Unten saw the teen look at the man. "It will work," he reassured the guy. He was firm and Unten actually believed that.

"You're sure?" he asked, glancing back in the mirror. He immediately cringed at his arrogance. He should know better. He was paid to drive and use his quirk, not to have opinions, and certainly not to question his new boss.

"It will work," the teen told him, looking back at him.

Unten looked back at the road.

"I wish there was a better way," Dragon continued to speak and he actually sounded regretful. "You know what you need to do, right?"

Unten nodded. He knew what the plan was. They were going to intercept the Electoral Commissioner at his office. From what Unten understood, Dragon had observed the man for a day or so and Senkyo Tesu always sent his staff home when he worked late. Apparently public servants had to read a lot of documents. Intercepting the Commissioner at his office should also have the advantage of ensuring there was no unauthorised or unusual access to the Electoral Roll since Senkyo would already be logged into the system. "I just need to make sure he tells the truth," Unten replied.

The teen nodded.

Unten wondered if he was regretting giving him the quirk. He looked back to the road. If Dragon regretted it, then there really was nothing he could do if the teen changed his mind and took it back. If that happened... Unten wondered.

In one way it would be good. He was used to being quirkless so he could adjust and in another... He wasn't going to deny the social acceptance of having a quirk had opened doors for him, and he could keep driving for Dragon. There was no point thinking about it.

"We are nearly there," he announced, turning off the freeway.

The Electoral Commission was in the government precinct of the city. This late though it was quiet and Unten would be able to get a parking spot before they found a secluded place for Kurogiri to pick them up.

"Thanks," the teen said. "You are okay with this, aren't you?"

The question was surprising. Unten was used to bosses who just ordered, and when it came to driving, the chauffeur was not meant to think. All the chauffeur had to know was where and when to pick up their client and where to drive them. Anything else was additional, superfluous information.

Unten thought for a moment. He was slightly uncomfortable with this but... He owed Dragon for the quirk and the work and... The teen was attempting to do this in a non-violent way. He'd even arranged for the victim to forget the incident. And while that was for his own protection, it was a mercy. "Yeah, I'm okay with it," he replied.
