Someone had stolen her Luna.

That was the only possible explanation of what Pansy was seeing. Stolen, replaced, or maybe brainwashed?

"Are you imperiused?"

Luna's bright blue eyes shine with excitement as she smiles. "No, of course not."

Pansy drops her magazine to the coffee table with a haughty sniff and stands to inspect her girlfriend's vivacious ensemble. "I don't think I believe you."

Someone had clearly done something. The blonde-haired witch is dressed in... well, Pansy isn't sure quite what to make of what Luna is currently wearing. It's a bright–almost violently so–aqua costume covered in large violet spots. With violet horns, a tail, and– "is it supposed to be fuzzy?" she asks with mild consternation. The entire costume, from the hood over Luna's golden head, to the enormous aqua paws is covered in half-inch long fur.

"Oh yes, many monsters have fur," confirms Luna with a nod. "It's quite common, really."

Knowing Luna as she does, Pansy is certain there is an explanation, but she is unable to decipher it. The Malfoy's Monster Ball is starting in an hour, and she's quite certain that no one else attending the holiday gala slash spooky monster themed semi-costumed event will be dressed in something quite so bright, quite so unapologetically cheerful.

Luna went on, readily answering the not-yet-asked question. "When I was visiting with the Potters last week, Ginny put a movie on the telly for the children. She said it was called 'Monsters', and the children enjoyed it very much. It seemed fitting, you know."

Pansy does know. She smiles as she tucks a lock of golden hair behind her girlfriend's ear. "It's perfect."

"You're a beautiful succubus," Luna says of Pansy's own black cocktail dress with blood-red accents and accouterments.

"Not as beautiful as you."
