Luna adored Hogwarts. Obviously she enjoyed time with her father, but being here allowed her to explore her mind more. She wished she still felt that way.

At first, Luna liked being the "weird" one. Now years later, she almost wished she was normal.

Luna didn't mind the teasing at first. She had came to terms with the fact that her name was "Looney" to everyone. After all, she couldn't be obsessing over a silly nickname when she had Nargles to research and find.

Luna also didn't mind when people started stealing her things. She thought it was fun to play a game of hide and seek with her possessions every couple nights. It wasn't until a sleepless night during 5th year that led her to believe their actions weren't innocent at all.

Luna had been wandering the corridors, barefoot as her shoes had once again been hidden, sleepily trying to get her mind to dream away.

"Your shoes aren't strung up in this corridor." drawled Pansy Parkinson.

Luna looked up and smiled warmly at the pretty Slytherin.

"I don't think it's time for me to find them. It wouldn't be fair for me to have an advantage in the game" Luna replied with.

"....What game are you talking about, Looney?" said confusingly at the blond haired girl.

"My housemates are very fond of muggle games. They take my shoes, and I find them. It's a rather repetitious cycle but I don't mind as long as my shoes are okay." Luna explained.

Pansy sighed. She knew the ditzy girl had no idea that her housemates were actually cruelly bullying her.

"Lovegood, they aren't playing a game with you. They are doing it to tease you". Pansy rolled her eyes.

A sad realization fell over Luna. She had thought that if she played their games, then maybe they would search for Nargles with her.

"Oh. I'm sure they mean well. Maybe they think I like the teasing. I'm sure I can come up with a way to play a different game". Luna breathed.

Now Pansy would never admit to anyone else, but she actually felt bad for the Ravenclaw Angel. She had never seen her look so melancholy.

"Well, good luck with that. 10 points from Ravenclaw for being out of bed after curfew." Pansy said swiftly and proceeded to walk away.

Luna hadn't been the same since her conversation with Pansy. Did her housemates not like her? She always tried to be nice. Luna knew she was odd but she liked who she was. It saddened her to think she was the only one who did.

After a couple of weeks, Luna was very exhausted. Almost every night, she had to go retrieve her belongings. The routine wasn't special now that she knew it wasn't a game. So exhausted from lack of sleep, Luna sat down the damp castle ground. She was never the type to get irritated, but she couldn't help it. She began to softly cry as she wished she was normal.

"Luna? Why are you crying?" Pansy walked and stood in the front of the upset girl.

"I wish I was normal. I don't want to play their game anymore. I'm very tired and no longer wish to find my clothes in bathrooms." Sniffed Luna sadly.

Pansy, unsure of what to do, sat down and encased the small girl in a hug. If she was being totally honest with herself, she liked Luna. She knew Luna was a bit odd, but she was also extremely caring and sweet even when people were cruel to her.

"I'm sorry. If it makes you feel better, I don't think it's a bad thing. Not being normal, I mean. I like you for who you are." Pansy admitted.

Luna, while a little shocked, wasn't surprised at Pansy's words. She always felt the raven haired Slytherin had more to her than just mean words and cruel remarks.

"That might be the kindest thing you've ever said to me". Luna beamed brightly at her.

Pansy could only give a small smile back, as she felt her palms become clammy.

Over the next few weeks, Pansy and Luna had become very close. Even though they studied or talked in private, the two girls were very fascinated in each other. Pansy often would hold Luna, while her darling would ramble on about her creatures and her musings of Trelawney's tea readings.

Pansy had come to the conclusion she liked girls when Draco had brought her to the Yule Ball and she spent the whole night wishing to dance with Daphne Greengrass. Luna, on the other hand, had always known she liked girls. So in-tuned with herself at a young age, she always knew who she was.

On a specific spring day, Luna and Pansy layed together down at the bank of the Black Lake. Luna was busy weaving daises together and Pansy had long gave up on keeping her eyes open.

Suddenly, she felt a light weight being placed upon her head. She opened her eyes to see Luna, as perfect as she was in her floral sun dress, hovering over her while placing the daisy chain crown on her head.

"I love you." Pansy blurted out before she could catch herself.

"I was wondering when you'd figure it out. I love you too." Luna said while smiling brightly.

Pansy leaned up and captured Luna's lips in a chaste kiss.

"You are perfect. I don't want you thinking anything different, alright darling?". Pansy questioned.

"As long as a I belong to you, I know I am perfect". Luna still smiling brightly, responded softly.

Looking into Luna's eyes, she began planning her revenge on whoever made Luna feel anything less than the happiness she deserved.

Luna no longer wished to be normal. It didn't suit her anyway.
