Annika stood confidently at the front of the conference room, surveying the sea of expectant faces before her. Her team leaders, flanked her on either side. The room fell silent as all eyes focused on their leader."Now that we're all assembled," Annika began, her voice clear and authoritative, "I'd like to address a critical matter. Your collective input is crucial, and I encourage you to consider this decision carefully, with thoughtful deliberation."
She paused, scanning the room to ensure everyone understood the gravity of the discussion.
"This decision will have a profound impact on our company's future," Annika emphasized. "I value each of your perspectives and will carefully consider the consensus reached here today."
The employees exchanged curious glances, sensing the importance of the impending discussion.
"Your thoughtful contributions will shape our company's trajectory," Annika continued. "Let's work together to make an informed decision."
Annika nodded at Sneha, inviting her to speak. Sneha stood, her expression serious.
"As you're all aware, our shop suffered a devastating fire just four days ago," Sneha began. "Unfortunately, our stocks were completely damaged. Although we had insurance, the payout was insufficient due to our shop being less than a year old. This unforeseen setback has resulted in significant losses, putting us at a disadvantage compared to our competitors."
Siddharth took over, his voice filled with determination.
"Given the circumstances, we're facing an uphill battle. Opening a new shop won't generate sufficient profits before the proposal submission deadline next week. We can't afford to lose easily, so Annika has devised an alternative strategy."
Annika stepped forward, confidence radiating from her.
"To bridge the financial gap, I've secured 10 additional high-value projects," Annika announced. "Tomorrow, I'll sign the deals, and we'll receive half the payment upfront. These projects hold immense potential, ensuring we'll not only recover our losses but also accumulate enough profits to surpass our competitors and win the competition."
The room fell silent as the team digested Annika's bold plan.
An employee spoke up, "Mam, we'll work tirelessly on these projects. You don't need to worry."
Annika's expression turned thoughtful. "I'm aware of your capabilities, and I'm proud of each one of you. However, I've been considering a different approach."
The room fell silent, anticipation building.
Annika continued, "What if we don't win the competition? What if we start anew, on our own terms?"
A collective gasp filled the room. Eyes widened in surprise.
One employee asked, "Mam, what do you mean? Do you want our hard work to go to waste?"
Annika clarified, "That's not what I'm suggesting. Instead of using tomorrow's payment as profit for our proposal, I plan to invest in a building – our own building."
The room erupted into murmurs.
Annika's vision unfolded, "A building where we'll establish our own company, free from external control. Our success will be solely ours, not shared with Oberoi or anyone else."
She paused, surveying her team.
"In the past year, your hard work has been under your names. But if I sign the deal with Oberoi next week, after winning the competition, all your previous and future work will be under their name."
