ALEX pov

"Alex, run! Run!" That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out, but we're getting ahead of ourselves. I remember it like it was yesterday—technically, it was yesterday. It was the beginning of summer, the best time of the year for my best friends and me: Tilly Gates, Theo Mckean, Zach Lee, Dav Mortan, Anne Galloway, Chris Watson, and Steph Lazar. I know I know having so many best friends is not easy at all. I was biking down to Tilly's house. I was going downhill when something in the bushes caught my eye. I saw it glow and pop and sparkle then pop it vanished and I vanished to the bottom of the hill with a few bruises to testify.

I walked it off and headed for Tilly's house and rang the doorbell while I tried to dust off my little scratches. The universe seemed to oppose my happiness when the door was opened by Marcus Oh it had to be him? Marcus is Tilly's distinctive creepy older brother. He is very very creepy. He took one good look at me and ...... shut the door in my face .wow.that was very gentlemanly. I decided to try and get into Tilly's room through the tree in their backyard that looks in her window, I've never been there before so I may not see it. Too bad but my phone is dead so. As I entered the backyard I had a tingly feeling at the back of my neck like I was being watched. I turned around but saw nothing. As much as I tried to shake off that feeling it just increased more and more as I walked.

Soon I reached the said tree. Tilly was right the tree was pretty easy to climb, soon I was looking into Tilly's room. She's relevant in the story so I'm going to describe her. She's a bit chubby with blonde hair and pink lips. She's a bit sassy and loves jazz. As I dropped into her room (very impressive climbing )
