"Alright, everyone. We have our next location for our data gathering plan. ALIVA found a town in the Grus sector that should work for us."

The day began as usual, Tsang giving his meeting about everything going on. He had gotten to the point of announcing the plan once more. The area he was talking about was projected on the table for everyone to see.

"So, who is going this time?" Carlito asked.

"It's been a while since we've done this on a volunteer basis. How about we do that for this selection?" Tsang said. "I'm looking for five to go on this."

Zack was the first to raise his hand, giving Tsang a determined look. Raffael raised his hand next, Oliver looking at him and then doing the same. Nil eventually decided to also raise his hand, giving the three other volunteers a wary look. Artius decided to be the last to volunteer to go.

Tsang nodded to the five of them. "Alrighty. You five will deploy. Depending on who shows up, we will determine what actions to take at that point."

"Are we going to kill one of the commanders soon?" Raffael asked.

"We very well may be getting close to that point."

"Killing them now will make Solstice work faster to make his new prints." Artius pointed out.

"But if we kill them before he makes a new print, we have a chance to lower the number of enemies we fight." Nico replied.

"True..."

"Entering the planet's orbit now. We should be ready to deploy in less than five minutes." ALIVA announced.

"Get yourselves ready then. We'll begin shortly once more." Tsang stated.

The five volunteers nodded and began to prepare to depart. They left the room and headed to the bay. Everyone else remained in the bridge and waited to see what was going to unfold this time.

...

On a signal, the five descended to the planet. They landed outside the town and then entered it on foot.

The town was definitely not in the best shape like all of the others they had visited for this task. The buildings were still standing more than most places they had seen. The land was overgrown with greenery.

"How long ago do you think this town was abandoned?" Zack asked as he looked around.

"Probably decades given how much has be reclaimed by nature." Artius replied. "Well, let's spread out and get this on the move once more."

Everyone nodded and they began their searching, making sure to enter the areas of cameras. The rubble was easier to navigate this time, which made it harder to stay searching in one spot since there was less to scan through.

They all kept an eye on each other, doing their best to stay in sight. It was taking a lot longer than usual to get an alert someone was coming for them.

"Nil. I found something weird here." Zack walked over to him and held out a strange fragment from something.

Nil took the object and looked it over. "Seems like it may have been part of a bomb or something."

"But the town isn't..." Zack looked around at the area, no signs of anything being blown up at one point in sight.

"It is strange." Nil studied the piece closer. "No idea why it would be here unless it fell from above at some point."

"Should we take it back with us?"

"It doesn't hurt to, I suppose." Nil shrugged and tucked it away into a pocket.
