Nobody's POV,

Yohan has been discharged from the hospital, he is now fine, but still some injuries are yet to recovered.

Yohan was now resting on his bed, his eyes were on the ceiling and it looked like he was in deep thoughts. He was confused yet frustrated that was it really an accident or someone tried to harm him.

A sudden memory flash in his mind about his father's cold words during heated discussion.

"Flashback"

Yeungmin : Yohan! I am last time asking you, let's get park events and park enterprises Collab.

Yohan : 1st and last time I am saying, my answer will always be no.

Yeungmin : do you think you can handle this big company your own way? Your continents, your ethics are nothing but your weaknesses. Let someone stronger handle this Yohan.

Yohan's blood boiled after listening to this, he glared at him.

Yohan : my ethics and my so called weaknesses? Don't forget why this company stands strong today, not your deals and shortcuts that you always prefer. I built this legacy brick by brick with my own blood, sweat and sacrifices.

Yeungmin smirked, leaning back.

Yeungmin : sacrifices?... Business isn't about morality Yohan, come to real life. It is about the power and you are too soft to endure it.

Yohan slammed his fist on the desk, making the entire room shake.

Yohan : soft !.. i believe in respect, integrity and hardwork that you will never understand. But don't mistake that for weakness. I will protect my company from vultures like you at any cost.

Yeungmin : bold words Yohan!... Let's see if you can protect your company... or even yourself.

"Flashback Ends"

Yohan's POV,

I clenched my jaw after remembering all those heated discussions between me and my father. Was it really him?, did he plan all this? or am I thinking too much? No. Of questions were flooding inside my head. I have to confirm this anyhow.

Next day,

Nobody's POV,

Yohan adjusted his tie in front of the mirror, the event of the past few days replayed in his mind. His car accident wasn't just bad luck, he has to find out who was behind it.

As he grabbed his brief case and his keys Yoonah entered her worry evident on her face.

Yoonah : Yohan, are you sure you should be going to the office already? The doctor said you need rest.

Yohan : I know, Yoonah, but I can't just sit around. There’s a lot that needs my attention at the office. If I don’t handle it, no one will.

Yoonah frowned, her concern evident in her eyes.

Yoonah : But you just got out of the hospital, Yohan. Your body needs time to recover. Can’t someone else take care of things for a while?

He shook his head, a determined expression on his face.

Yohan: It’s not that simple, Yoonah. There are things I need to see for myself. I can't let this company or my responsibilities fall apart.

Yoonah stepped closer, her voice softer but insistent.

Yoonah : I understand your dedication, but what about your health? What if something happens again? I’m scared, Yohan.

Yohan’s gaze softened as he reached for her hands.

Yohan : I’ll be fine, I promise. I know you’re worried, but I need to do this. Trust me, Yoonah.

Yohan chose to keep the truth about the accident to himself, at least for now. He didn’t want to burden Yoonah with the complexities of betrayal or the dark secrets of his family. He knew how much she had already endured, and adding this to her worries seemed cruel.

After settling into his office, Yohan leaned back in his chair, his mind clouded with unanswered questions. Unable to suppress his growing suspicions any longer, he picked up his phone and dialed the mechanic who had examined his car after the accident.

The phone rang a few times before the mechanic answered.

Mechanic : Hello, this is JH Auto Repairs. How can I help you?

Yohan : This is Park Yohan. You inspected my car after the accident. I need to ask you something about the brakes.

Mechanic : Ah, yes, Mr. Park. I remember your car. What can I assist you with?

Yohan: Were the brakes damaged accidentally, or... was it deliberate? I need the truth.

There was a long silence on the other end before the mechanic finally replied in a cautious tone.

Mechanic : Sir, I wasn’t sure if I should say anything, but... the brake lines were cut. This wasn’t an accident.

Yohan's hand tightened around his phone, his jaw clenching as the confirmation hit him like a wave.

Yohan : You’re certain about this?

Mechanic : Yes, sir. The cuts were clean, not something that happens from wear and tear. Someone tampered with it.

Yohan : Thank you for your honesty. Keep this between us for now, and if anyone asks, say nothing. Understood?

Mechanic : Understood, Mr. Park. Let me know if you need anything else.

Yohan ended the call, his heart pounding. Someone had intentionally tried to harm him, and this wasn’t just about business—it was personal. The thought of who could be behind it haunted him. Was it his father? His mother? Someone else entirely?

He stared out the window, his resolve hardening. Whoever did this, they’ll regret it.

Later that evening, Yohan sat in his office, his mind racing. He had requested security footage from his private garage and records of everyone who had been near his car before the accident.

While reviewing the footage from the garage one last time, he noticed something peculiar - a silk scarf. A signature accessory his mother always wore. It was tucked subtly into the pocket of the figure tampering with his car, but enough for him to recognize.

He froze. That scarf wasn’t just unique - it was a gift he had given her years ago for her birthday.

Determined to be certain, Yohan returned to Park mansion and searched through the family’s belongings. As expected, her scarf collection was intact, but the one with golden initials was missing. His heart sank.

Yohan sat down, his mind racing. Every moment of doubt and suspicion now solidified into an undeniable truth. It wasn’t a hired hand, a rival, or some faceless enemy. It was her - his own mother.
