Nobody's POV,

Yoonah : From all these days I have been carrying memories of burden in my head,

She said, while tears are continuously flowing from her eyes.

Yoonah : the pain, the guilt, the love i couldn't save.. it all haunts me every single day.

Yohan stood frozen, his heart clenching at every word. He had never imagined the depth of her suffering, how deeply her past had scarred her.

He wanted to speak, to comfort her, but the words wouldn't come. Instead, he gently stepped closer, his hand hovering uncertainly before he placed it on her shoulder.

Yohan : Yoonah... I... I had no idea,
he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
Why didn't you tell me? You shouldn't have carried this alone.

She looked at him, her eyes brimming with sorrow.

Yoonah: How could I, Yohan? How could I tell you when I couldn't even face it myself? I was so scared of losing you too... I couldn't bear it.

Yohan couldn't hold back anymore. He enveloped her in his arms, holding her as tightly as he could, as if trying to shield her from the pain she had endured.

Yohan : You're not alone anymore, Yoonah. You never have to be. I won't let you carry this alone. I'm here... and I'll stay, no matter what.

Her sobs grew louder as she clung to him, finally letting herself be vulnerable, finally letting someone share her pain.

They were two broken souls, but maybe together, they could start to heal.

For the past 4-5 days yohan has been staying in the hospital under observation, he has not recovered yet, his injuries, though not life-threatening now, required time to heal properly.

The doctor entered the room with his chart, giving Yohan an update.

Doctor: Mr. Park, your progress is steady. The internal injuries are no longer a major concern, however, your body still needs rest to recover fully. I recommend staying here for another two days before we consider discharging you."

Yohan nodded, but still his concentration was not on doctor but the incident, the accident replayed in his mind. The screeching of the tyre, the broken windows, inability to stop and the final crash it all felt like a nightmare.
But one thought kept gnawing at him: why did the brakes fail?

He closed his eyes trying to recollect the situation, the incident he remembered the car had just come back from routine maintenance. Everything had seemed fine, and yet, the brakes failed at the worst possible moment.

His jaw clenched as suspicion started to creep into his mind. Was it just a mechanical failure? Or...was it something else? He couldn't shake off the feeling that it might not have been an accident.

Yohan : Who would want to harm me?

Yoonah entered the ward quietly, she saw that doctor was talking to yohan. The doctor was discussing about his recovery and the precautions he needed to take while recovering.

Doctor : Mr. park tries to avoid strenuous activities for some weeks, cuz some injuries are not yet recovered. I will check in again tomorrow.

Yohan gave a distracted nod, barely listening. His expression was hard and his jaw was clenched as if he were lost in deep thought.

As the doctor left, Yoonah hesitated near the door, clutching a thermos she had brought for him. She took a deep breath, gathering her courage, and finally stepped forward.

Yoonah : Yohan... I brought you some soup. I thought you might feel better with something homemade.

Yohan turned his gaze to her, but his eyes didn't hold the warmth they used to.

Yohan : You didn't have to. I'm fine.

Yoonah : Yohan, please... don't push me away. I know you're upset, and I know you're trying to figure things out, but I want to help. Let me be here for you.

Yohan sighed, leaning back against the pillows. His voice was heavy with frustration.

Yohan : I'm not upset with you, Yoonah. I'm upset with everything. The accident, the diary... my mind won't stop running in circles.

Yoonah stepped closer, sitting on the chair beside his bed.

Yoonah : You don't have to go through this alone. I'm here, Yohan. Whatever you're thinking, whatever you're feeling... talk to me.

Yohan : I don't even know where to start, Yoonah. There's too much... too much pain, too many questions. And the thought that someone might've deliberately caused the accident-

Yoonah interrupted softly, her voice trembling.

Yoonah : Then let's find the answers together. But first, promise me you'll focus on getting better. Please, Yohan."

Her plea seemed to reach him. Yohan's shoulders relaxed slightly, and he nodded.

Yohan : Alright. I'll try.

Yoonah managed a small smile, her heart a mix of relief and sorrow. For now, she could only hope her presence would help ease the storm raging inside him.
