Yoonah : you can trust me.
She said with a heavy heart.
The entire night, Yoonah lay awake, her mind haunted by guilt and her secret. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw Yohan's face, his trust over her and the pain he would feel if he ever learned about her truth. Badly she wanted to leave her past behind and to start fresh with Yohan but that past felt like a shadow, which is constantly following her.
N no. Of the questions were revolving around her mind. What if he finds out? Will he hate me? Will he see me as nothing more than a liar? The thought of losing him hurting her more.
As the morning begins, rays of the morning light crept on the walls of the room, Yoonah sat in silence, she had spent hours thinking about every possibility, every fear and every hope. And in the end she came to a painful yet final decision: she would never tell Yohan about her past.
The risk of losing him and the trust he had built towards her. Yohan had finally let her into his life, revealing the past could destroy everything. She wanted to protect their future even if it meant carrying the burden of secrecy for a lifetime.
Yoonah convinced herself it was for the best, she would bury all the memories and keep them locked away. She was ready to sacrifice everything to protect their future, their happiness.
With a deep breath, she looked at her reflection in the mirror. This is the choice I have to make, for us.
As the days passed, she started to make herself busy with office work, presentations, she started to spend more time with Yohan, started to know him his hobbies, his favourite things, Yohan shared everything with her his likes dislikes, Yoonah also told him about herself, about her love for the paintings. Yohan was literally impressed by her painting skills and how realistically she paints. He appreciated her. They were liking each other's company. For Yohan it felt like a dream where he never wanted to wake up, he was loving it and most importantly he started to love her, admire her, how she makes him feel important in her life, and how she is healing him and finally he started to heal and found happiness. But it is said that happiness is only for a few moments, the same happened with Yohan.
On Sunday,
Yohan's POV,
As it was a Sunday, I still have to do all the office work, new presentations, check new records, and document everything. Life is not easier when you are the CEO of a big company. I can't even call Yoonah as she went shopping, with Kim soo min her new friend.
Yoonah..., can't stop thinking about her, I always feel a sense of calm. I am overwhelmed by how she made my black and white life into a colourful life. I find myself laughing and smiling more. Her presence has become something I look forward to. I can't help but admire her love and care towards me.
With her, it feels like maybe—just maybe—I’m finally starting to heal.By thinking about all this I again continued with my office work, as i was finding some documents inside my shelves, 1 important file was missing i panicked, and started to search all over the room. The whole room was a mess do I care? no I just want my file, maybe the file could be in yoonah's room. I entered inside Yoonah's room and started to search for my file, I opened her cupboard and there I found the file which was kept inside the drawer.
As I was closing the cupboard a box accidentally fell down and all the things got scattered, i knelt down collecting each item one by one.
There were things I hadn't seen before : a beautiful delicate diamond chain, a photo frame of get well soon, dried roses, a few polaroids in which there is Yoonah and a guy I don't know, maybe yoonah's friend they both are looking like a college friend, i will ask Yoonah about this guy.
As I placed everything into the box, my hand brushed against something soft. It was a dairy, a handmade woven diary. As I opened the diary, "Jung Yoonah" boldly written across the 1st page of her dairy. I paused felling an unexpected jolt of curiosity. This wasn't just any notebook but a small piece of her world, I hadn't any idea.
I badly want to know what's inside the dairy, but it's not good, it's her privacy i shouldn't interfere, when the time comes she will herself tell me. But I am her husband, i have every right to know.
I was frustrated, whether i should open it or not. Unable to resist, I quickly closed the box, leaving everything else untouched, and slipped the diary under my arm. I went to my room, closed the door behind me, and sat on the edge of the bed. As I opened it, my hands felt slightly shaky. I couldn’t stop myself, this was my chance to understand her more deeply.
