From that day, Yoonah made it her mission to be Yohan's anchor, a steady presence to help him heal from the betrayal and pain he had endured. She understood that the scars he carried - both emotional and physical - were deep, and healing would take time, patience, and unwavering support.

Each morning, she would wake early to prepare his favorite tea, a small gesture that brought a faint smile to his face. She would remind him of the simple joys of life, encouraging him to take walks with her, where they could breathe fresh air and escape the heavy weight of the past. During those moments, she shared stories - some funny, some heartfelt - to draw him out of his shell and into a world where he could trust again.

Yoonah also helped him confront his feelings. On nights when he was quiet and withdrawn, she would sit beside him, her hand gently resting on his, silently letting him know she was there. Slowly, Yohan began to open up, sharing pieces of his pain. Each word was a step closer to healing, a sign of the walls he'd built around his heart starting to crumble.

In turn, Yohan found himself leaning on Yoonah in ways he never imagined. Her presence was soothing, a constant reminder that he wasn't alone. She had her own wounds to bear, her own battles she had fought, and yet she chose to be there for him. Her resilience inspired him, and her love gave him hope.

Yoonah : Yohan, can we sit for a moment? I feel like there's so much we need to talk about.

Yohan glanced at her, his eyes searching hers, and nodded silently. They both settled on the couch, a quiet tension hanging in the air.

Yoonah : I've been thinking... about everything. About us, the pain we've carried, and how it's shaped us. I can't keep pretending that I'm okay when so much of me is still healing.

Yohan let out a slow breath, his gaze dropping to his hands.

Yohan : I know the feeling. Every time I close my eyes, I see the betrayal, the loss... my mother, my accident... and then there's you. You're the only light I've had through all this. But sometimes, I feel like I don't deserve you, Yoonah."

Her heart broke at his words, and she reached out to gently take his hand.

Yoonah : Yohan, don't say that. You've been hurt, betrayed in ways no one should ever experience. But that doesn't make you undeserving of love. It makes you human. And I... I want to be the person who helps you believe in yourself again.

His fingers tightened around hers, his voice trembling.

Yohan : And what about you, Yoonah? You've lost so much. Sunghoon... everything you went through with your family. You've been carrying so much on your own. How do you do it? How do you keep going?

Tears welled up in her eyes, but she smiled faintly.

Yoonah : I kept going because I had to. But then, I found you, Yohan. You reminded me what it feels like to care for someone again, to open my heart, even when it feels impossible. You make me want to heal - not just for me, but for us.

Yohan's voice cracked as he spoke.

Yohan : I don't know how to fix everything, Yoonah. I don't know if I'll ever be whole again.

She cupped his face, her thumbs gently brushing away the tear that slid down his cheek.

Yoonah : We don't have to fix everything, Yohan. Healing isn't about being perfect. It's about finding peace with the scars we carry. And I promise, I'll be by your side every step of the way.

He pulled her into his arms, holding her as though she were the only thing keeping him grounded.

Yohan : You're the only thing that feels real, Yoonah. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I won't let go. I'll try... for you, for us.

She rested her head on his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

Yoonah : We'll heal together, Yohan. It's not going to be easy, but we've already made it through so much. And as long as we have each other, I know we can find happiness again.

They stayed there in each other's embrace, letting the weight of their shared pain melt away in the comfort of their love and understanding. Healing wasn't an end goal-it was a journey they had chosen to walk together.
