PART 2.
because that's
where
fear begins.
we all seek control
in our day to day lives.
we decide what to eat,
what to wear,
what to say,
oblivious to the reality
that it is all inconsequential.
she
(you)
chose
to raise a child
that was not hers
(yours)
at eleven
years old.
because
the easy answer
is that
that
was her
(your)
decision to make,
as if she
(you)
could in good conscience,
give up
on any child.
because
thirteen
billion
years ago
an existence
burst
from a cosmic singularity,
for reasons
we'll never really know,
and ever since then
a chain of events has unfolded
that has brought
her
(you)
and me
and everyone else
to wherever
we all are currently.
and so,
aeons before she
(you)
was (were) even a thought,
that decision
to raise that child
was already made,
by a series of events
that chartered her course
(your course)
through the waters
of her
(your)
life.
