sometimes
i see struggling people,
and even though
i'm not the greatest
or most
consistent
at it
sometimes
i try
to reach out.
not because i want to help
them.
i do,
but
that's not why.
sometimes
i try
to reach out
because i see
them alone and
drowning in
the world,
and i think that maybe
we'll both be less
alone
if we're drowning
together.
