It was another sunny morning in Sherwood forest, where the towering oaks stretched to the sky and birds sang as if to celebrate the endless mischief of Robin hood and his friends.
The trio- Robin, tuck and little john- had once again foiled one of Prince John's devious schemes to raise taxes on the poor. Robin, with his trademark bow slung over his shoulder and a cocky grin on his face, was riding high on the victory.
But beneath the bravado, a secret weighed on his heart.
Robin had always been a fireband, quick to tease and even quicker to act, but lately his thoughts were far from his usual antics.
Everytime he encountered prince john, whether in battle or during one of the prince's ridiculous schemes, Robin couldn't help but notice the vulnerability beneath John's haughty demeanor. And despite himself, he was drawn to it.
