These two guys at my school always acted really cute, and all couple like whenever they were together, and they were in our class so me and my writing friends would talk about how canon they were. So, we made all these stories and decided we could m...

Ev POV
I rolled over and was slightly confused when I was back in my bed, in my apartment. It took a minute for all my memories of the night to come back but I remembered.
The quiet drive back from Miguel's.
The long look after goodbyes were said inside the stadium's private parking lot.
My hand had somehow made it to his leg and I didn't want to move it.
Until PB woke up and then started barking his head off. We were snatched out of the moment and brought back into reality.
I had driven home and fell asleep as soon as I entered the apartment.
I had slept off the dregs of my hangover and was mostly back to normal after taking more ibuprofen.
Three hours later sitting at my desk, I got an email for dinner at 8pm with the main stalk holders, or 'the holders board' which is what they were normally called.
Only half the members were cc'd on the email plus Stephanie and Drew. It wasn't odd that they were asking me to dinner. I remembered what Mike Ramos had said about there being a 'civil war' between Carlos Medina and Milford Rowell.
Thinking of him made me remember the scum bag still hadn't signed the new contract. Had said he wanted to renegotiate the terms. In other words, squeeze me for more money until he could pay his legal fees.
I told them I would be happy to come. I honestly would have rather jumped out of a moving vehicle but my options were slim at the time.
I arrived at the restaurant just before eight and saw Drew entering with Steph. He saw me and waited for me to enter.
"You got invited to the dog and pony show too?" Steph questioned with a sarcastic laugh.
"Yes, sadly enough.
Drew opened the door and rolled his eyes at the two of us. "It's not that bad. Its like a meet and greet. Simple. A little boring. As long as you can fein interest you'll be fine. But I need to talk to you after dinner."
I scoffed at his summary but nodded and entered the restaurant nonetheless.
The ceiling was high and the lights were dim. It was all dark wood and black marble. It was extremely fancy for a basic work dinner.

We easily found our party which had the largest table in the restaurant and almost no people seated near it.
The three of us were the last to arrive at the venue, making our entrance noticeable.
I shook multiple hands and said greetings until I came to the man that had asked us all here.
