Ev POV

I speed to the closest ER and burst through the doors carrying Lily. As soon as Drew and I entered, I nurse rushed over to a nurse and told her what happened.

"This is my sister Liliana O'Brian. She's a female, 21 years old, and she was drinking and called me saying she felt weird. She might be drugged. I don't know. "

She called for a gurney, and they took her back to 'pump her stomach'. The nurse started asking me questions that I had no clue how to answer. The only one who knew how to answer those questions was Lily or...

"Pick up, pick up, pick up." I mumbled as the phone rang.

"Ev? How are you sweetheart?" My mothers bright voice called from the end of the line.

"Mom, something's wrong with Lily. I don't know what but they're asking questions I don't know the answer to. I just, I need you to come to the hospital."

"Where are you?" She questioned, her voice immediately calm and collected.

"What hospital are we at?" I asked Drew.

"New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. But maybe you should sit. Take a breath."

I relayed the information to Mom but didn't sit. We were taken to a private waiting room away from the ER but I didn't sit until my mother came an hour later.

She rushed over to me and crushed me in a hug. I may have been almost a foot taller but as soon as her arms wrapped around me, I felt like a kid. She eventually let me go and I saw a familiar man walk in behind her.

"Please don't fight. I need my family around me right now." Mom begged as I scowled at my father.

He noticed Drew who was sitting in the lumpy chair behind me and was obviously holding back a rude comment.

"Fine Mom. They said they would pump her stomach, and she would be able to go home in a few hours if she wanted to."

"So, we have to wait?" Henry summed. I didn't respond but sat in a chair to the left of Drew.

"Everette O'Brian?" A doctor asked. My eyes fluttered open. I hadn't remembered going to sleep, but I was leaning on Drew and he was shaking me awake.

I stood and was fully alert, "That's me. Is Lily alright?"

"We pumped her stomach and tested the contents. She was drugged with Rohypnol which is pretty commonly used in situations like this."

"Situations like what?" Drew pressed.

"Maybe Miss. O'Brian can explain that to you. She asked for a Drew person, and you Mr. O'Brian"

Henry protested saying that he was her father and wanted to see her, but the Doctor insisted she wanted Drew and I alone.

We went down a few hallways and into a patient room.

Lily was awake at least. She had bags under her eyes and her skin was covered in a sickly sheen of sweat, but she was alive.

"Hey Lily bean," I said softly and sat on the edge of her bed.

She gave me a weak, trembling smile and saw Drew behind me.

"Drew? How are you here? Thank you for saving me back there, but how are you here?"
