Chapter song: Falling by Harry Styles

Drew POV -

Two weeks.

We hadn't spoken in two weeks which was the longest we had gone no contact since our seven year break.

But he had called a meeting with the head coaches, Medina, and Rowell.

"No assistant coaches. No other board members. No journalists. No one to see when he tells me that I'm a worthless piece of shit and I ripped his heart out and I don't deserve him!" I cried to Stephanie.

We were at my apartment and 'hanging out'. More like she was listening to me whine and cry about Ev. I was sprawled across my living room floor while she sat on the couch, eating ice cream.

"I don't think that's what he's going to do. If he was going to humiliate you, it would have been a full team meeting. He would really rub the salt in the wound."

I groaned and stuck my spoon back into the tub of chocolate ice cream.

"That doesn't make me feel better."

"It's the truth. I didn't say you would like hearing it."

I sat on the couch next to her and put my head on her shoulder, wrapped in a blanket looking like a tantrum throwing child. "How's the stalker situation going?"

"No new notes since last week. No following. I think that Domestic violence restraining order really scared the shit out of him. Tara had someone deliver it to him. He's seen it and I highly doubt he's going to come near me again."

"I'm glad that dick is finally out of your life."

"Me too. But you know what you did with Ev was really bad, right?"

I ran a hand through my hair and pushed against the emotions rising in my throat.

"I know it was a shitty thing to do from the start. I never thought we would get this close again. I shouldn't have done it even if we stayed at arms length. But I know it's worse because we were this close-" I gestured with my thumb and pointer finger, "-to being us again. I wanted to tell him, but then it snowballed and I got so deep in it. With Louis sniffing around, Lily being sick and his Dad being an ass, it just felt like no time was a good time."

"You're going to fix things," She soothed and took my hand.

"I don't know if we can."
