Mission Briefing

Leonidas addressed the team in the safehouse's central room. Morena leaned against the wall, her metallic bracelets shifting subtly as she focused on Leonidas's every word.

"We've confirmed that Vesper is operating out of this factory," Leonidas began. "It's heavily fortified, so we're not going in guns blazing. The objective is simple: gather intel, figure out their next move, and get out. Melina, you're staying with me to monitor communications."

Melina frowned. "I'm fine, Leonidas."

"And you're still recovering," Leonidas said firmly.

Morena raised her hand slightly. "If things go south, I can disable any metal-based weapons or barriers. Just give me the signal."

"Good thinking," Leonidas acknowledged.

"Where do you want me?" Morena asked, her tone even.

"You'll be in the backup team with Sofia and Spiros," Leonidas replied. "Your job is to keep the perimeter secure and provide support if needed."

Morena nodded. "Understood."

Nikolas shot Kwstas a quick look, and the two exchanged a subtle nod. They would be leading the infiltration again, this time with an extra layer of caution after their last mission.

The Factory

As night fell, the team approached the factory. Morena, Sofia, and Spiros positioned themselves outside, watching for guards or reinforcements.

"You've got my back, right?" Spiros joked, trying to ease the tension.

Sofia smirked. "Always. Just don't let your portals fizzle out when we need them."

Morena chuckled softly. "I'll make sure nothing crushes you while you're figuring it out."

Inside the factory, Kwstas and Nikolas moved quietly, their senses heightened. Morena's earlier suggestion to disable metallic defenses proved helpful as they passed through areas that might have triggered alarms or sealed them in.

The Fight (Morena Steps In)

The mission began smoothly, with Kwstas and Nikolas gathering crucial intel from the factory's inner sanctum. But their luck ran out when a team of Vesper's enforcers ambushed them, armed with advanced energy weapons.

Kwstas's light shields flared to life, deflecting an initial barrage of blasts. Nikolas charged forward, his seismic powers shaking the floor and sending guards sprawling.

"Morena, we're going to need you in here!" Kwstas shouted into his comm.

Outside, Morena's bracelets snapped into motion, twisting into sharp, floating shards as she sprinted toward the factory.

"On my way!" she replied, her voice steady despite the urgency.

When she arrived, the fight was in full swing. Nikolas was grappling with two guards, his strength overpowering them but leaving him vulnerable to a third attacker aiming an energy cannon at his back. Morena reacted instantly, flinging a shard of metal to knock the weapon from the guard's hands.

"Watch your back, Nikolas!" she called out, her hands moving in precise, fluid motions to control the shards like extensions of herself.

Nikolas grunted his thanks, slamming one guard into the ground with enough force to knock them unconscious.
