Chapter Eleven

I laid on my steel bed with a mattress and a pillow. I covered myself with the blanket when I heard my door knob twist in the dainty air. I breathed slowly as my door swung open.
"Kaitlyn... pssst Kaitlyn!"
Becca stood at my doorway with her coat and another rapped over her arm.
"Becca? How did you-"
"No time to explain, quick put this on!"
She tossed me the lab coat and handed me a pair of glasses. I put on the lab coat over my pjs.
"No.. no no no here change into this and then put on the lab coat."
She went out of the room for me to get changed. After a few minutes I put my hair up and put on the glasses. Fake glasses.
"You can come-"
"Oh thank goodness! Here, the name tag goes on the lab coat clip and it's fake. So don't worry about mixed identity."
I clipped on the name tag and slipped on the heels Becca brought in. I wobbled a little but regained balance quickly.
"See your a natural! Let's go!"
"What the rush b-"
She pulled me out of the room and locked the door with a code and headed down the hall.
"Becca what's going on?"
"They have everybody, captured them all of them! Ethan, jake, maddie. Zachary."
I looked down.
"I know that."
"What? How!"
"Captain Thorne told me when I saw him in the halls. He threatened to take me to the pit or something like that."
"Well we need to make sure that doesn't happen. Here take this."
She handed me a backpack full of guns grenades and blue vials.
"What is this?"
"Go find Zachary and Maddie and everyone we lost in that flood. They are in the pit. Ask for Harvey, she'll tell you everything you'll do when you go to the Above."
"Alone!?"
"No of course not with the people you find."
"People I f... Becca your not making any sense! I just want to find the rest of the team and keep them safe!"
"And this is what you'll do in order to keep them safe. You think staying here where captain Thorne can order them dead by his guards is safe for them and you? It's not and that's why you're leaving."
She was rushing me , I shook my head and held onto her lab coat sleeve.
"What about you Becca! Your not staying-" I said pleadingly.
"Oh but I have to. I work here in the lab I could get you guys out of here but getting myself out of here lord it would take the world."
She patted my hand and gave me a hug.
"Becca you're  crazy! none of this will work unless we live together and stay together!" I felt tears swell up a bit in the time of my eyes. Because was the only person who could keep me safe now, and couldn't have her leave me alone too.
"Go quick before we-"
"Stop right there!"
We turned around to see captain thrones best guards. Murphey welch and Steve Martin. Burliest men I've ever seen in my entire life.
"Run Kaitlyn!"
Becca pushed me forwards as the guards started stepping towards us. I gripped the backpack and ran down the halls.
"Becca where are you!"
"Keep run-"
A gunshot was heard from behind. I heard footsteps getting closer. I opened the backpack and took a gun. I turned around and shot Murphey in the chest and turned a sharp corner. I waited for Steve. He turned the corner and I butted his head with my gun.
"Becca!"
My heart stopped, I saw Becca laying on the ground, a pool of blood forming around her head. I ran to her and turned her lifeless body around. I held my hand against my lips to keep me from screaming. I knelt down and took her hands in mine.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry.... I'm sorry Becca"
Tears dripped down my cheeks and fell on her lab coat. A note peaked out of her coat pocket and I let her head fall gently on the cold tile floor. I took the note and wiped my cheeks with my coat sleeve before smoothing it out.
Room 14a
If you are reading this please do not share with a staff member or soldier. We have sent many resources to save the people from the above from the torture chamber located on the last floor. Go to elevator shaft three when you see a man with a cloak say "A.R.A" He will lead you to the last floor and you will be escorted the the chambers.

"Becca must've had talked with these people to find the others. Becca was leading me to this chamber."
I grabbed the backpack of Beccas and dumped the belongings in my travel pack and tossed it aside.
"I promise I won't let you down Becca."
I pushed the hair away from her face and closed her eyes. I got up and jolted past the exit ways and to the elevator shafts. I'm going to find A.R.A , and save the rest of them.
