The grand Singhania Mansion stood tall and imposing, but inside, tensions brewed like an unstoppable storm.
[ she has arrived midnight]
..
Niya Raichand stormed into the mansion, her heels clicking sharply against the polished marble floor. Her sharp eyes scanned the empty hall, where maids bustled around with their chores, ignoring her presence. Fury flared in her chest, and she shouted, "Why is no one here to welcome me? Aaah!"
The maids froze, exchanging nervous glances, unsure how to respond.
At that moment, Shalini, Abhimaan’s mother, descended from the staircase. Her expression wavered between confusion and discomfort. “Niya beta, tum aagyi?” she asked cautiously.
“Oh, sassu ma,” Niya replied with a fake sugary tone, her fury barely concealed. “Come on, don’t behave like you don’t know. Also, where are the decorations? Niya Raichand has arrived! Your soon-to-be bahu! And yet this Singhania Mansion looks so pale. I am here, the sensation, the queen. And where is Abhimaan? I’ve been calling him for days, but he doesn’t pick up his wife’s calls.”
Shalini’s face paled at Niya’s words. She struggled to form a coherent response, nervous sweat beading on her forehead. “Ahh... Niya, tumhe kuch batana hai,” she said hesitantly.
Niya waved her hand dismissively. “Mere pass in sab ka time nahi hai. Mera room to prepare kardiya hai, na?”
“Haan, sab tayar hai,” Shalini admitted, her voice trembling. “Par ek baat tumhare liye jaan ni bahut zaruri hai.”
Niya crossed her arms impatiently. “Speak up. You oldies always have problems, kya? Like can’t you just be quiet? Uff, you're like my dad, always rambling. Anyways, bolna hai toh bolo.”
Shalini swallowed hard, her voice shaking. “Woh... Abhimaan ne shadi kar li hai.”
For a moment, silence reigned. Then Niya burst out laughing, the sound echoing through the hall. “Hahaha! What a joke! Shadi? Really, sassu ma? Come on.”
Shalini’s expression turned grave. “Mazak nahi kar rahi hoon. It’s real.”
Niya’s laughter stopped abruptly. Her eyes narrowed dangerously. “Stop joking around. That can’t be true. I am his soon-to-be wife!”
Shalini took a deep breath and confessed, “Nahi, Niya. Usne shadi kar li. Tumhe bataye bina. Tumhara aur Abhimaan ka rishta mai teh kar rahi thi, lekin Abhimaan uss ladki ko ghar le aaya shadi karke.”
Niya’s fury erupted. “Ahhh! Who’s that unlucky girl? She will die at my hands! I will not leave her!”
Shalini hesitated before adding, “Woh Dhairya Sharma ki beti hai, Anaya Sharma. Pehle revenge ke liye shadi ki thi, but ab... usko usse pyaar ho raha hai.”
Niya’s lips curled into a wicked smile. “Pyar war kuch nahi hai. Usko toh main dekhlungi. How dare he marry such a girl! Aur revenge lene ke liye shadi ki thi na? Now I’ll show him what revenge really looks like. Just wait and watch, Anaya.”
Shalini, alarmed, asked, “Kya karogi tum?”
Niya scoffed. “Don’t ask me anything. Tumse ek kaam dhang se hota nahi. Buddhi hoti ja rahi ho na, isliye. I will handle it myself.” She marched away, her mind teeming with plans for destruction. “I will tell her who I am, and Abhimaan will be all mine!”

[ next day ]
Downstairs in the kitchen, Anaya hummed to herself as she prepared breakfast. She was startled to see a girl dancing with earphones in, oblivious to her surroundings. The girl’s hips swayed to the rhythm, and she appeared completely at ease.
Anaya cleared her throat. “Hey, who are you?”
The girl turned, her expression sharp and her tone colder. “I should ask you the same thing. Who the hell are you?”
Anaya blinked, confused but composed. “Umm, me? I’m Anaya. Umm, Anaya Abhimaan Singhania.”
A mocking smile spread across the girl’s face. “Ohhh, so you’re the unlucky person.”
Anaya frowned. “What do you mean by that? And who are you?”
The girl smirked. “I’m Niya. Niya Raichand. And you listen—uski zindagi mein tum aa toh gayi ho, par you will regret it, darling. You have one day. Back off. Abhimaan is mine. Otherwise, your life will be just a piece of paper for me.”
Anaya raised an eyebrow. “Wow, kaha se sikha yeh dialogue? Koi movie chal rahi hai kya?”
Niya glared. “What?”
Anaya continued, unfazed. “Nahi, ‘Your life is a piece of paper for me’? Seriously? Aur back off? Look, he married me, not the other way around. If someone needs to back off, it’s you. Besides, darling, I think he’s falling for me. So, no chance for you.” She smiled sweetly. “Nice meeting you, Niya Raichand.”
Niya’s face turned red with anger. “You just wait and watch. This attitude of yours won’t last long!” She stormed out.
Anaya shrugged. “Stupid hai kya? Kaun hai yeh? Whatever. Let’s make something to eat.”
---
In his room, Abhimaan stirred awake, his phone ringing incessantly. He picked it up, his voice groggy. “Hello?”
“Sir, we have found Samrat Yadhuvanshi,” the caller said.
Abhimaan straightened, suddenly alert. “Oh, okay. Take him to the warehouse. I’ll be there in half an hour.”
His mind raced. If this lead doesn’t work out, all my hopes will be shattered.
Just then, Anaya entered the room with a bowl in her hands. “Hey, are you fine? You’re working you shluld raje rest anaya ?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.
“All fine,” he said with a soft smile. “You made breakfast?”
“Yes, i am fine dont worry you have it and freshen up,” she replied.
Abhimaan nodded, heading to the washroom. When he returned, they sat down to eat together. Anaya hesitated before asking, “Who is Niya Raichand?”
Abhimaan froze mid-bite. “Kyun? Kya hua?”
Anaya recounted her encounter with Niya to abhimaan her voice a mixture of annoyance and amusement.
Abhimaan sighed, shaking his head. “Oh my god, my wife has a mouth!”
Anaya smirked. “How could she say that he’s mine? Whatever. You’re mine.”
He smiled, leaning closer. “Yes, I am all yours, my love.”
Her cheeks flushed, and she smiled. “Okay, now go for your meeting.”
Reality struck him as he remembered the call. “Yeah, I should leave. Bye, love. Rest well.”
“Bye, Abhi,” she replied warmly.
---
In her room, Niya paced angrily, her fists clenched. “Ahhhh! How can she? I will make her regret crossing me.” She picked up her phone, her voice cold and deadly.
“I want you to kill someone,” she said, venom dripping from her words.
