The issue with Jordyn and Tristan was slowly going away and Kylie and I still occasionally check in with her just to make sure things aren't too much, otherwise we would need to do more damage control. Overall though, she knows to keep her distance until things calm down.
Today is the music video shoot day with Taylor for our song "ME!" which finished in like a week with her coming to LA a lot to get it all done with. My family found out about our collaboration and there were quite a few mixed reactions, all for different reasons, but my therapy sessions have been teaching me not to take every word to heart and to just do what I do best.
So here we are at a very colorful set getting the rundown of some scenes Taylor and I have planned out for the video. It was all just a bunch of fun scenes of us being different in our own ways, from dancing with such vibrant outfits to playing around the sets. Taylor has been a huge help to keeping me comfortable throughout the process of filming the video and we are finally down to the last few days of filming. Thank God because all of this has been draining me. It's one of the biggest reasons why I don't have music videos for my songs, I just don't have this much energy, but mom does want me to film some videos for my upcoming album, so, this will be my new reality.
TAYLOR: "KYLER! Ready to finish this up?" She pops her head into my dressing room and smiles as I get my makeup done.
KYLER: "YES PLEASE!" I scream out dramatically, making the crew laugh.
I immediately followed after her and we started to film the bigger scenes of the videos with all of the extras and the big performance number. It was fun being a part of a project like this since I've never really done things like this, opting to stay away from the cameras as much as possible.
Once we wrapped up our final scene around 6pm, the cast and crew for the video immediately broke out into cheers and then we were pushed to make a small little speech. Taylor was committed and of course well-spoken, thanking everyone for their efforts, thanking me for starting this project initially, and thanking them for dedicating their time on such short notice. Then, she gave the spotlight to me...
KYLER: "Uhh I feel like Taylor said everything already." I chuckled nervously and then scratched the back of my neck. Bad habits die hard. She smacks my arm lightly and giggles. "Uh but no, on a serious note, thank you all for being able to help us out with such an extravagant video like this. It has been such an amazing experience being able to film a music video with such great talents, visuals, and effort. This song started as a bit of a self-hate song, but with Taylor's help, we were able to turn it into something much more powerful and meaningful and I am so glad that you were all part of this process. I can't wait for the people to see everything we've done these past few days, but I really do appreciate all of you for putting your best efforts and time for us to be able to share music that will hopefully resonate with not just us, but with everyone around the world, so thank you all so much." I put my hands in a prayer pose and stick it out to all of them.
As it was time to get out of my video outfit, Taylor invited everyone out to get a dinner to celebrate the video release in New York and since I'll be there to do some photoshoots and be with Bella for a bit, I accepted.
