Chapter 17

Kyler's POV.

June 23, 2018

It's been 3 days of working with Hailee on her song for Bumblebee and it's been very progressive. I've been helping with lyrics as well as some note composition as well as beats. During our first day, we tried to figure out the vibe that she wanted which we spent the whole day talking about. Our second day, we talked about the lyrics she had already and created the overall beat and composition for the song. This morning, we finished up lyrics and now we started recording, but she's reached a bit of a vocal strain, however, being the trooper she is, she was willing to push through the last few lines of the song.

HAILEE: She stands behind my chair listening over to her recorded audios for the song. "Ok, so can we just run back to a few lines to give me options? And then I will be needing your voice for some harmonies as well as some little refining for the mixing and then mastering."

KYLER: I nod along and agree. "Yeah that sounds good. This song finished a lot faster than I thought. I mean it helps that we both wrote it and everythi-"

HAILEE: "You mean you wrote it. I basically assisted, I just had some words and then you came in and practically wrote the song for me." She chuckles and taps my head like a dog.

KYLER: "Well aren't you glad you met me then Ms. Steinfeld? I am a wonder to many." I push her hands off my head and point towards the recording door. "Now, let's finish this off strong and then get you home so Ms. Cheri can help your poor soul."

HAILEE: "OK, let's do this!" She bumps my fist and walks in.

We continue to record each other and take some pictures to tease the fans. As we listen to the final mastered song, we immediately smile, proud of our quick work. I walk her to her car since it's nearing sunset and tell her to text me when she gets home.

On the way to my next schedule, I get a call from Ariana Grande and answer via the hands-free button of my Range Rover.

KYLER: "I am on the way there Ms. Grande, just finished up with Hailee."

ARIANA: "Oh awesome, I was just calling to tell you about what I need help with. Also, could you please get me some food or coffee since it's gonna be a bit of a long night."

KYLER: I sigh out since I'll be on a plane in less than 10 hours going to New York with Kylie and Stormi for her Forbes shoot. "I can do that for us for sure, just text me any requests and your order and I'll get it."

As soon as I got to the studio, I was pulled into a hug by Frankie and Ariana since it's been a while since we last worked together. Throughout the session, I mainly helped with mixing and mastering 2 of her songs: "Breathin'" and "God Is A Woman." I also helped co-write "No Tears Left To Cry," which took quite a while since I was practically running on fumes and small meals throughout the day.

As soon as we finished, I drove over to my house as fast as I could before I passed out behind the wheel, packed a week-long trip into my luggage, and called a driver to drive me to Kylie's. I decided to leave with Kylie and Stormi to make things easier for her and because I was not gonna be able to keep my eyes open any longer.

As soon as I got there, I went straight to Kylie's room where she was packing and plopped down on her bed.

KYLIE: I hear her walk over beside me and rub my back. "Are you okay big Ky?" She sits on the small space at the edge of the bed, making me turn over on my back to make space for her. "You look like the living dead." She giggles at my eye bags and tired expressions.

KYLER: "I feel like one too. It's been a long few days, productive, but very tiring. Remind me to never schedule so many people within 3 days of my life or else I will quite actually implode." I close my eyes and move under the covers. "This bed is really nice," I yawn to her.
