Chapter 30

Kyler's POV.

December 14, 2018 - ALBUM RELEASE DAY

After the VS Show and Thanksgiving, I was on a grind, keeping myself in the studio to make sure my album was ready to be released. Thanksgiving was celebrated at mom's house in the morning with my family, then at night, I drove over to the Hadid family house to have dinner.

As soon as I got home from New York, I kept writing and collaborating with other artists, producers, and composers to get the album done and sure enough, 10 songs were done. I finished all of my songs, made sure they were all mastered to the best of my abilities and chose the album release date....TODAY!!

I wanted to just spend a nice day at home with Isabella, who can barely take her hands off me, but neither can I, but being a Jenner means partying...way too much. Mom, Kendall, and Kylie ended up planning a party after I confirmed the release date and they've been doing a little too much.

Since it's my debut album, they wanted to make sure that everyone got the message. I mean, the entire family has been promoting my music, but as soon as it was ready, mom got to doing her thing and spreading the news. It didn't help that my sisters were also all over the place, trying to give me more attention, but I've learned to just let them be.

Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe have also been reposting my IG post of the album as well as using my released music on their stories. So far, the songs that have been released were doing great. I wasn't expecting anything, but one day Isabella woke me up with the news that "I Think I Like You" was in the top 10 list for Billboard and let's just say that she congratulated me really nicely.

Right now, I am in my hotel room watching TV, trying to prepare myself for the party, which is happening on the rooftop of this hotel in downtown LA. Being the caring mom she is, she ended up reserving 2 floors of rooms for guests who didn't want to drive home or wouldn't be able to because of the alcohol. Kendall and Kylie were in charge of decorations and catering, making sure to get my favorite food and drinks to celebrate the night. Stass ended up being in charge of the guest list with help from Kylie, making sure to invite only those I knew and liked along with some of their friends. I haven't actually seen the guest list since they wanted me to just relax before the night.

The theme for the night was black or red since my album cover and concept was based on two feelings: love and anxiety. The first 5 songs are love songs, some written about Kelsey, some written about Isabella. The last 5 songs are about anxiety and heartbreak, but a lot of it covers the feeling of being insecure, not enough to be loved. I've had love and hate on the released songs, but I've been learning to ignore it or simply just live with the fact that I can't always be perfect for everyone, but I can be proud of myself.

Let's just hope tonight will be a proud moment for myself...

3PM

Kylie and Kendall ended up storming into my room with her styling team to get us ready for the party tonight. While they were getting dolled up, she started raving about the outfit they chose for me with some help from Stass. She kept going on and on about the party tonight while I sat there and listened, humming occasionally to show her that I was still there. From what I heard, Stass and her invited a lot of their friends and our family friends to the party and they all were arriving at the hotel this morning. The two top floors were reserved for the party guests which consisted of the bigger suites, the biggest ones going to the family members with kids, while the others were up to grab.

After Ariel and Jesus, her styling team, were done with her makeup, they moved over to me to apply some light makeup to my skin and fix my wavy black hair, even though I'm sure it'll come undone since I have a habit of messing with my hair. While Kylie and Kendall went to my room to get dressed, I was on my phone texting Isabella who was in her room with Gigi, getting ready for the party. She ended up flying to New York with Gigi a few days after Thanksgiving and we haven't really seen each other since, but the nightly calls and morning texts were the things I lived for. Tonight would be the first time seeing each other since then and she's been teasing me about how much I'd love her outfit, making my imagination run wild.
