I lean back in my chair, eyes glued to the computer screen in front of me. The beats are hitting hard, but they still don't feel...finished. I let out a long breath, fingers hovering the keyboard, unsure of the next move. There's something missing, something I haven't quite figured out yet. The sound is there—distant and quiet—but it doesn't pack the punch I want. That's the thing about working on music; you know when it clicks, and I haven't gotten there yet.

The latest song I've been working on has been playing on a loop for hours. It's not that I don't like it—I'm proud of what I've done for—but it's this nagging feeling in the back of my head that I'm not completely finished with it yet. The lyrics hit too close to home. I'm taking something that was originally a break-up song and turning it into a self-love song, which feels right, but also strange. The song has this rawness to it that I'm still trying to make sense of.

I'm working through the emotion, the breakup, the messiness of it all. Music has always been my therapy, and right now, it's keeping me grounded. But it's also draining, and I'm exhausted, mentally, physically, and emotionally. The past few weeks have been a blur, a mix of writing, producing, and trying to forget how much I'm still affected by Bella. I've made peace with it, or at least I'm trying to, but the remnants of the relationship still linger in the lyrics I write and the beats I create.

A knock at the door jolts me from my thoughts. I press pause on the track and glance at the clock. It's getting late...

KYLER: "Come in!" I call, spinning on my chair.

The door opens, and in walks, Stass and Kels—the comforting presences of my everyday life. Stass saunters in first, her usual confident swag in full force. She flashes me a grin, her eyes twinkling with mischief. Kels follows her a bit more cautiously, her expression a little more serious, the concern from her evident on her face.

KELS: "You've been in here for hours, haven't you?" She says, crossing her arms over her chest.

KYLER: I give her a tired smile. "Yeah, just working on the usual stuff."
