Chapter 18: the talk

Autumn wants to have a talk with Charlotte about trying for a baby and she's the one that wants to carry the baby but with Charlottes egg so the baby is both of their biologically but she doesn't know how to bring it up with her. She's tried but instantly backed out of it afraid of what Charlotte would say.

One night Charlotte and autumn are sat on the sofa and autumn gets the courage. "My sweet can I talk to you about something." Autumns says sitting up properly and Charlotte does the same and turns her whole body to autumn. "Of course my love is everything okay." Charlotte asks her wife concerned. "Yes my sweet everything's fine, I've just been thinking about extending our family only if you want to I was thinking we could try for a baby I carry and use your eggs so then the baby has both our DNA." Autumns says rubbing the back of her neck nervously. "Baby I would nothing more to have a little mini us running around to be honest I've been thinking about it too but are you sure you want to carry after what happened when you was with winter. I don't mind carrying and using your eggs. Charlotte says looking deeply into autumns eyes autumn shakes her head. "I'm sure my sweet I've always wanted to carry a baby again and be a mum it just wasn't the right time then." Autumn says. "Okay love we'll book the appointment and get my eggs fertilised and transferred into you, we need to pick a donor first." Charlotte says. "I know my love I will make the appointment." Autumn says and makes the appointment immediately to go and pick a donor and retrieve charlottes eggs to fertilised."all done for 10:30 in the morning darling." Autumn says. "Let's go up to bed since we're up early in the morning." Charlotte says and they go up and get in bed. They cuddle up in bed and fall asleep.

*9:00 am the next morning.*

Charlotte wakes up first. "Babe come on time to wake up." Charlotte says and kisses autumns cheek to wake her up. "Mhm, good morning my gorgeous wife." Autumn says and puts on her glasses. "Good morning my beautiful wife." Charlotte says and leans in to kiss autumn. They get up out of bed and get dress's for their appointment and go downstairs Charlotte makes herself and autumn a coffee. "Thank you my sweet." Autumns says taking her coffee from autumn and they sit at the table. The girls stayed at charlottes mums house.

"Come on darling we need to set off if we want to get there on time." Autumns says and they lock the door and walk to the car up hand in hand, autumn opens charlottes door and gets in the drivers seat. Autumn puts her hand on charlottes thigh while she drives after 25 minutes they arrive at the clinic. They check in at reception and sit in waiting room. "Mrs and Mrs knight." The nurse calls and autumn and Charlotte stand up. "This way." She says and takes them into one of the rooms. "How are you both this morning." The nurse asks. "We're okay." Charlotte says. "Who's carrying and whose eggs are we using." The nurse says looking at autumn and Charlotte. "I'm carrying and we're using my wife's eggs we want the baby to have part of us both." Autumn says. "Have you chosen a donor." The nurse asked. They saw her the picture of the guy they picked  and the nurse nods and leaves the room. The nurse comes back in. "Which one of you is Charlotte knight".the nurse asked. "I am." Charlotte says. "Okay please come with me and I'm guessing your wife's name is autumn." The nurse says. "Yes it is." Charlotte says standing up and smiles at autumn. "Okay autumn could you please go wait back in the waiting room while I take your wife to retrieve her eggs." The nurse says and autumn stands up and takes charlottes hand they all walk out and Charlotte gives autumn a kiss before going their separate ways. Charlotte goes with the nurse and autumn goes to the waiting room.

"Okay Mrs Knight it's just a quick procedure and will will take them to be fertilised and then give you a call later tonight or tomorrow morning if it has worked and then put them into your wife."the nurse explains to Charlotte. "Okay."Charlotte says. "And we are all done." The nurse says and Charlotte sits up. The nurse goes out to the waiting room. "Mrs knight." The nurse calls and autumn immediately stands up. "Is my wife okay." Autumn asks. "Yes Mrs knight your wife is fine follow me and I'll take you to her." The nurse takes autumn to Charlotte. As soon as Charlotte sees autumn she runs to her wrapping her arms around her. "Hey baby you ok." Autumn says wrapping her arms round charlottes waist. "Yes darling I'm okay." Charlotte says. "Let's go home my love." Autumn says. They walk out of the clinic hand in hand and go to their car and drive home. Charlotte falls asleep in the car with autumns hand in hers while autumn drives with one hand on the wheel soon she pulls into their drive way.
