Chapter 5: opening up

Charlottes pov-
Me and autumn are at on the sofa cuddled up with a blanket around us and my heads going a million miles an hour but I try and push it away to enjoy this time with my girlfriend but she looks down at me and puts her finger under my chin so I'm looking at her. "What wrong my sweet?" She ask me looking into my eyes. "I need to talk to you about something." I say looking up at her and her face instantly switches to concern and worry. "Okay my love I'm here." She says in a gentle tone I sit up and keep hold of her hand for some comfort. "When I was 10 I was being bullied in school because of the way i looked and and that's when I started cutting nobody noticed and when I'd get home from school my parents were arguing so I'd lock myself in my room and listen to my music on full volume. I carried on cutting daily by the time I was 13 I started smoking weed and drinking until I was 19 when I met my ex husband and everything was fine at the start and then we got married and I had my first daughter Kasey and he changed towards me shouting verbal abuse at me and saying I'm a horrible mother and calling me a whore and a slut and nobody could ever love and me and then he would back to being loving and kind with me then I got pregnant with my second daughter Gracie and he do the same thing and vebal abuse and just argue with me for nothing and then he told me he's been having an affair and has another  child"- I paused to take a deep breath "it's okay my love take your time." autumn said reassuring me. "Then he left and it was the worst relapse I had in years and I passed out I didn't wake up until my mum came over the next day and she was sat in front of me shaking me and begging me to wake up and I openend my eyes to see my mum crying saying it's all her fault that she wasn't there and she didn't notice how had things had gotten and then there 4 weeks ago I told you some of what happened but not all of it. By the time I had locked the nursery and started walking home it was already dark and when I walked away from the nursery I saw two man stood there in all black and I didn't think anything of it and carried on walking and they were walking in the same direction I shrugged it off thinking nothing of it until they followed me into the alleyway to my house and well you know the rest." I finished and autumn just sat there holding me tight and kissed the top of my head. "Oh my love I'm so sorry that happened and you went through all of that you didn't deserve any of that my love." She said lifting my head again and leaning in to give me a kiss which I returned and smiled into. "What would you like to eat my love I'll go and make us something if you'd like." Autumn says "you decide darling I don't mind." I replied smiling . "Okay my love I'll go whip something up for us." Autumn says standing up and giving me kiss on my cheek and going into the kitchen to make dinner.

Autumns pov:
I make my way to the kitchen to make some dinner for me and char and I can't believe what she's been through and how she can she still walk around so happy but that's just who my char is she's strong and brave. She really is beautiful and strong I think to myself. I'm so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't hear char walking to the kitchen until I feel her wrap her arms around my waist and rest her head on my shoulder. "Hello my sweet." I say turning my head to look at her. "Hello darling I missed you so I thought I'd come stand with you while you make dinner." Char says smiling at and gives me a kiss. "I was only gone a few minutes my sweet." I say giggling at how cute she is. "I know but I missed cuddling you and being near you." She says with her little puppy eyes. "I missed you to my love." I say playfully rolling my eyes and giving her a kiss and then went back to finishing the last touches on dinner and sitting at the dinning table with char and we eat. Once we finish eating Charlotte gets up and taking the dirty dishes and puts them in the dishwasher. "That was amazing aut thank you." She says coming to sit on my lap at the table. "You're welcome my love I'm proud of you for eating." I say putting my hands around her waist and she leans her head back on my shoulder.

We hear a knock at the door and we both look at each other not expecting anyone especially at this time of night we get up and answer the door to see Marjorie and Reece there. "Big brother, Marjorie." I say looking at them confused on why they're here. "What are you guys doing here." Char asks. "Can we come in we have something to tell you." Reece says and Marjorie just stands there with a grin on her face. "Yeah sure come in." I say moving to the side to let them in and we all go to the living room. I sit down and char sits on my lap wrapping her arms around me. "So what's going on why did come so late." I ask looking at Reece and Marjorie and they just look at each other and then back at me smiling. "Well uh." Reece starts and rubs the back of his neck nervously. "Spit it out Reece I would like to get to bed and cuddle with my girlfriend." I say getting slightly irritated and char lifts her head to give me a warning look and I instantly soften my expression. "Well me and Marjorie are expecting a baby mid April." Reece says smiling at Marjorie and then looking back at me. And I look at char whose eyes are wide and tearing up overjoyed for her friend and she jumps and runs over to hug Marjorie. "OH MY GOD CONGRATULATIONS." She screams and I go over to Reece and put my hand his shoulder cause I'm not one for contact unless it's char. "Congratulations big brother you'll be an amazing father." I say offering him a small smile. "Thank you aut." He says returning the smile and I move my hand and go to pry my girlfriend off Marjorie and back to the sofa. "That's not all." Marjorie says showing us her hand to see a ring. "Omg you guys are engaged?!" Charlotte says while still sat on my lap. "Yes." Both Marjorie and Reece say. "Congratulations guys." Me and char say happy for them both they deserve all the happiness. "Thank you both anyway we should get going." Reece says. We all walk to the door. "Bye Marjorie, bye big brother." I say "bye Marj, bye Reece." Char says waving them bye as they get in the car and drive home.
