Chapter 21:finding out the Gender

Today autumn and Charlotte go for their 20 week scan where they will find out the gender of the twins but they want it in a envelop since charlottes mum wants to plan a gender reveal party for them with all their friends/chosen family.

Charlotte and autumn wake up to their alarm and shower and get dressed they wake the girls up and go downstairs while  the girls get ready for school. Charlotte does breakfast while autumn makes coffee for her and Charlotte. The girls come down and eat their breakfast. "Come on time for school." Charlotte says and they all,go out the door and to the car and drive to the school drop the girls off and drive to the nursery. "I'll see you at lunch for our appointment darling." Charlotte says. "I'll see you at lunch my sweet I love you." Autumn says. "I love you too babe." Charlotte says and kisses autumn then they both pull away and Charlotte goes to the room. "Charlotte" winter says. "Yes winter." Charlotte says. Winter is the only one who doesn't know that autumn and Charlotte are expecting since he couldn't go to the announcement. "Is autumn okay she's been sick quite a lot in the last 3 weeks." Winter says. "Yes winter autumns fine we're expecting twins in April." Charlotte says beaming that she's going to be a twin mum for the first time and she's doing it with her wife the love of her life. "Well congratulations." Winter says. "Thank you winter." Charlotte says and sorscha comes in to cover her. Charlotte makes her way to the office. "Ready my love." Charlotte says as she walks into the office. "Ready my sweet." Autumn says and they leave hand in hand.

They drive to the hospital. "I can't believe 20weeks have gone by so fast and we find out the gender of our babies." Charlotte says. "Me neither my love." Autumn says pulling into the hospital car park. They got out of the car and make their wait inside and checked in at reception. "Mrs and Mrs knight." Vivian called smiling as she was going to be the first to find out the gender of the twins. "Hello Vivian." Autumn says. "Hello you two ready to find out the gender of the knight babies." Vivian smirks and winks at the pair and they nod and follow Viv into the room. "Again please don't tell anyone my mums doing a gender reveal party so we need to give her the envelope." Charlotte says. "Of course, I can't wait to see everyone else's face." Vivian says with a little chuckle. Vivian gives autumn a tissue to wipe the gel off and prints the picture with the gender of the twins off and put it into an envelope. "There you go." Viv says giving autumn the envelope. "Thank you Viv." Charlotte says and they make their to the car and drive to Hannah's to drop off the envelope.

They arrive and Charlotte just puts the envelope through the letter box and goes back the car before their late for work Hannah's house was only 10 minutes around the corner from the nursery. They arrive at the nursery and walk in hand in hand Charlotte walks with autumn to the office. "Hiya Marjorie." Charlotte says and autumn sits at her desk. "Hello my love how'd it go, how's the babies." Marjorie asks clasping her hands together. "Everything went fine and the babies are healthy Marjorie." Autumn says. "That's good I'm happy for you both and can't wait to find the gender out tomorrow at your mums." Marjorie says to Charlotte. It's a Friday so most of the children go home half day. Once the last of the children that are in half day have gone Charlotte can go home.

Charlotte goes to the office. "My sweet?" Autumn says as she looks up at autumn. "Hi my love you ready to go." Charlotte says. "Yes my sweet let's go and we'll pick our girls up early and take them out for some family time." Autumn says packing up her things. "Sounds perfect." Charlotte says. "Come on then Mrs knight." Autumn says and winks at her. "Darling." Charlotte says as they drive to the school. "Yes love." Autumn responds. "You're amazing you know that? And I'm lucky to be your wife and have children with you." Charlotte gushes. "I'm the lucky one baby." Autumn says and puts her hand on charlottes thigh as she pulls into the school. They go into reception. "Hello how can I help you." The receptionist says. "We're here to pick up Kasey and Gracie knight." Charlotte says. "Okay Mrs knight just wait here I'll go get them for you." The receptionist says and leaves her desk to get the girls. "Mum,mama!" The girls shout. "Hi girls." Charlotte and autumn say. "Come on let's go have some family time huh?" Autumn says and the girls jump up and down.

They spend the afternoon at a soft play centre and had dinner out and went home. "Right girls go get ready for bed we've got to be at nana's tomorrow." Charlotte says. "Okay mum." Kasey says and they both go upstairs to their rooms. "Come darling we better go up too." Autumn says. "Okay love." Charlotte yawns. They go to bed once the girls are tucked in and asleep. They get into pyjamas and get into bed Charlotte wraps her arms around autumn's stomach protectively yet lovingly and autumn wraps her arms around Charlotte. "Goodnight my sweetheart." Autumn says. "Goodnight my darling." Charlotte says.

*next morning*

Charlotte stirs and autumn looks down and smiles. "Good morning sleepy head." Autumn says softly. "Good morning love." Charlotte mumbles rubbing her eyes. "We find out what we're having today over at your mums." Autumn says. The girls go into Charlotte and autumns room. "Morning mum, morning mama." The girls said and sit on the bed. "Morning our princesses." Autumn and Charlotte. The girls go back to their room and get dressed they both wear blue Gracie is wearing a blue dress and Kasey is wearing a blue button up shit and trousers because they both think they're going to be two boys they've always wanted a brother. Charlotte wears a pink dress and autumn wears a blue button up shirt and trousers like Kasey. Charlotte thinks they're going to be girls and autumn thinks they're going to be boys.

They go downstairs the girls have breakfast, autumn and Charlotte have a coffee. Charlotte checks the time and sees it's 11:40 and they're having the gender party at 12. "We best go before we're late everybody's probably already there." Charlotte says and the girls run to get their shoes and autumn and Charlotte follow them putting their shoes on and get in the car and drive 10 minutes to charlottes mums. They arrive at Hannah's and knock on the door, Hannah answers and the girls immediately hug her. "Hi my darlings." Hannah looking at Charlotte and autumn. "Hi mum." Charlotte says giving her a hug and going inside to see everyone else is already there. "Hi ma." Autumn says and Hannah pulls her into a small hug. Autumn goes in and Hannah closes the door. "Right then shall we go into the back garden and get this started." Hannah says and they all follow her out into the garden.

Charlotte and autumn stand near the balloons with the confetti in. "On the count of 3 we'll pop the first one." Charlotte says. "1..2..3." They all count and autumn pops the balloon. And blue confetti comes out. They all count again and Charlotte pops the second balloon and blue confetti comes out of that one. "Two little boys, we're having two little boys." Charlotte says hugging autumn tightly and kissing her passionately.  "two boys." Autumn repeats with tears in her eyes swallowing hard to not let the tears fall. Vivian and Siobhan walk over. "Congratulations both of you." Siobhan says. "Congratulations you have no idea how hard it was to keep it secret from everyone." Vivian says. "Thank you Viv and Siobhan." Autumn and Charlotte say.

After a few hours everyone goes home. When Charlotte and autumn get home with the girls they all go to bed the girls fall asleep instantly. "I love you and our boys babe." Charlotte says. "I love you and our boys too I can't wait to meet them." Autumn says. Autumn feels them kick and grabs charlottes hand instantly and she feels them kick again. "D-did they just kick." Charlotte says and autumn nods. "Hi boys mummy and mama love you very much already." Charlotte says resting her head on autumns small bump. They fall asleep wrapped up together.
