Together at last

Dad told mom he could whip them up something to eat. Mom asked if he cooked he said he could make pasta. But also it was the only thing he knew how to make. So pasta it is. That night mom and dad got ready for their date night while us girls and my boyfriend and Sammy sat in the Hallie's room and played cards. Hey dad we called out to him as he fixed his hair in the mirror. Wow you're looking nice we complimented. Looking sharp Nick my boyfriend told him. Dad had a grin on his face.

Where are you going we asked him hoping my plan was coming to a close. To be fair we all looked so smug. Good night ladies and Jason. He smiled at us before he closed the door to the bedroom. We all crossed our fingers and then crossed them over our chests and shut our eyes in hope. It was something I did that I got my sisters and Jason also doing. I hoped my plan was on it's way to a photo finish. Down in the wine cellar there were candles lit and it looked so romantic.

Dad told mom this was where he kept his private stash when she thought it looked amazing. Did you know I also collect wine? He asked her. He joked how he was a man of limited interests. He showed her many special ones in his collection until he pulled out a wine bottle that was labeled "where dreams have no end 1983" on it which he said was hard to track down. When she asked why he reminded her that it was the same wine they drank at their wedding.

He was now convinced he had every bottle of wine ever made. At least for now. When she said you do and he said I do. I hoped had I been in that room that those I do's were not the only ones we'd hear that weekend and from our parents. There was still time left. She asked if they could open one he told her she was the only person she'd drink it with. Which was romantic in its own. Mom started to cry but said it was dust.

Dad offered her a clean sleeve and then she said she was all better and he reminded her she didn't always have to be so brave. They leaned in to kiss after she said she did actually have to always be brave then Chessie and Martin came home and ruined the moment. As the pulled up to the house and our parents pulled away from each other. Dad said she had a key and mom backed away slowly as if she were afraid of something.

Dad was understandably upset. When Chessie asked if anyone was home dad put the wine away and said they would be right up and mom left first as dad put the wine bottle back. That night it rained mom had told me before when we got to the hotel I was staying with my father for now. So Annie and I hugged and she hugged dad and Chessie. Hallie and mom also hugged goodbye.

Who knew when the next time we would see each other all was. It shouldn't have had to be like this. I couldn't believe my plan had failed though it was a far fetched half baked plan anyways. 

The girls took the umbrella and went to the car together. I walked with them. Martian and Chessie said goodbye to each other as well as Martin opened the door for her. Take care of yourself dad told mom while she hoped the rest. She gave me a hug and told me to be careful and have fun. Reminded me that she loved me and said it was nice to see Jason again and to have a safe flight home. You as well he nodded back at her.

Dad kissed her cheek as she walked away and got into the car with Annie. I leaned my head on Jason's shoulder he wrapped an arm around me as did dad his chin on my head. It's not over yet Jason whispered into my ear. No it's over I cried to him my plan failed I shrugged I did my best. Chessie and Hallie ran back to us when they were all in the car. We watched with tears in our eyes as they drove away. But once they were gone it was a good thing our planes fly faster and also depending on what kind of plane service we use sometimes they're faster.

Maybe I had a plan b up my sleeve after all. It's not over till the fat lady sings and we had no fat lady. We got there faster than they did and this time instead of mom walking out and dad not chasing after her we weren't gonna let her go ever again and Jason wanted to see how it was all gonna end. Mom Annie and Martin all landed in their plane they were in and pulled up to the house.

They came inside the house saying they were home and Hallie and I were in the study turned around in the chair waiting for someone to come in and see we were there. Mom walked away told Annie she would check the study as Annie pouted and put her stuff down and waited for mom to decide what to do next. Hey stranger she called into the room we had a giant newspaper hiding our faces.

When she had called out to us we put it down with big smiles on our faces. We asked her about if she knew if whatever airline we took took half the amount of time for us to get there mom was so shocked and surprised and yes she did know that. Annie walked in surprised to see us. What are the two of you doing here? Annie asked us. Hallie started by saying it took us about 30 secs after you guys left to decide that we never wanted to lose either of you ever again.

Mom was surprised by this as well. The we part. Yes she saw Hallie and I and thought that was all there was to it. But then dad and Jason stepped around the corner. Yes we. And that Jason had to see how it all ended. Turns out while Farrah thought it was over after you guys left and we decided that I couldn't not chase after you because I made that mistake once and I wasn't gonna make it again that she had a plan b up her sleeve. Though I suppose it pays and literally to have a daughter whose part singer actress and model.

Dad said he wasn't gonna make the same mistake twice no matter how brave mom was. And I suppose you except me to go weak at the knees and fall into your arms and cry hysterically saying we're just gonna have to figure the whole thing out?! She asked him as he got closer and closer to her. She was worried about the biocontinental relationship but I do it all the time. So if I could do it they could too.

With us being raised here and there all 3 of them because we already have one daughter that we raise that way and she came up with this clever little scheme to have the girls meet so they could think they came up with the plan themselves to parent trap us and switch places on us just for us to rekindle our love and split up you and your girlfriend and for us to somehow leave with happily ever after as if this were some kind of fairytale?!

She was worried and upset but dad looked smug as he got closer and closer to her. And you and I just picking up where we left off as she trailed off now noticing how close was to her. And growing old together she continued. Come on Nick what do you expect? She asked him. To live happily ever after? Just like our daughter? Yes dad said as he was nose to nose with her. Yes to all of the above he told her as he held her cheeks in his hands wiping away her tears.

Except you don't have to cry hysterically. He teased her. She said yes she did and then they kissed. The next part of my plan was finished all we had to do now was make it official. We all watched with smiles on our faces with hopeful eyes and romantic gestures. Annie fell back into a chair with *sigh* while Hallie said we actually did it. I fake coughed. Yes we she corrected it was your plan but you couldn't had pulled it off without us.

She squealed and slid down to the ground. As Jason and I hugged and then kissed as we cheered that we did it. And I couldn't had done it without him. 

Fireworks went off over the water. A gloved hand opened a wedding book. Annie and Hallie and I go to be maids of honor while on short notice Jason got to be dad's best man and Sammy delivered the rings. Everyone was there. Grandpa Martin Chessie we had our photos all taken I caught the bouquet and kissed Jason on the cheek. Though we are way too young to get married and we don't wanna make the same mistake my parents did.

And it wasn't the only good news we had to share of the night during the reception Martin purposed to Chessie and of course she said yes so I gave her the flowers I caught. Since she would be getting married next instead of me. Jason took photos of just our family and then of just us girls and then of just the twins. We had a beautiful wedding on the boat. My plan worked we were together forever this time. I got that happily ever after I was looking for that I was missing all my life. And still more to come. Eventually.
