Who is she?

Look Hal Chessie starts as they go into Hallie's room to unpack her. It's none of my business how your father makes a fool of himself. She turns a glance at Jason as he reads between the lines. So, that means it's up to him and Annie to make it their business. He's a big boy he can do whatever he wants. Ok ok but who is she? Annie shares a look at Jason a little confused and concerned. He mouths to her "that's her." As Annie makes an "eek" face and nods along beside him. Her name is Meredith Blake and she's a publicists from San Francisco. She places a hand on her shoulder though looks up at Jason a shared look on their faces. *cough gold cough digger cough* Annie laughs at him doing this. What he asks innocently as Chessie gives him a playful glare. All I did was cough anything you heard in that cough is coincidental. Her father hired her at the beginning of the summer right before Farrah left for Canada to spend the weekend before camp with her boyfriend.

She's here to do publicity for the vineyard. She said though more trying to convince herself than anything. But if we ask her she was doing a better job selling herself than the grapes. And she and Farrah didn't exactly hit it off when she met the woman. What do you mean? Annie asks innocently. As they hear dad and and Meredith laugh with each other and Jason rolls his eyes. We knew our dad wasn't exactly bachelor of the month type. So what did a "hot young thing" like that want with our dad? As Chessie put it and they spied on them. Annie grabbed her camera to take photos of what was going on. But then we all now knew about a million reasons why that girl was giggling. Dad was grabbing her butt and they were all disturbed. Jason was "coughing" again and Annie teased he should get that looked at before turning back to the window. After all she doesn't want me getting sick when I'm kissing all over him. He rolls his eyes. Ok squirt it's not exactly like that.

She got pics of dad and Meredith holding hands. Do you even think she really even likes him? She asked Chessie. Have you not been listening to this cough I've got going on? Jason nudged her. What do I know Chessie says but I'll tell ya one thing this one's got your father eating out of the palm of her hand. They do everything together they ride together they swim together. She sees them kissing as she wraps her arms around our father's neck. But both of you meet her see what you think about her yourselves don't let anyone influence you not me nor your sister though Jason probably already made up his mind. She even pointed her foot out like a stereotypical I don't kiss and tell cliche moment. Next thing they know Jason and Annie go out to the pool. There she is hi honey. Hey Jason he gave a wave. Come over here Hal there's someone I want you to meet. And there she was relaxing in one of the pool chairs. Hal Jason this is my friend Meredith Blake. He intro. Meredith this is my daughter Hallie and you met my oldest Farrah this is her boyfriend Jason he's basically like my son. Hi nice to meet you she looked up to greet the two of them.

Wow I can't believe I'm meeting the famous Hallie. Though she was wrong I hoped she never would. She said she had been looking forward to this all summer. Hallie was happily surprised while Jason tried to be on his best behavior. Really well here I am. Oh Nicky she's adorable. Jason tried not to gag at hearing that. You know the way your father talks about you and your sister I would've thought you were a little girl but you're not you're all grown up. I'll be 12 soon. How old are you? She asked. 26 she said. (Which is how old I am now and she does not of course look like me.) Only 15 years older than me. How old are you again dad she asked? Wow suddenly so interested in math. Tell ya what I'm gonna go inside. I'm gonna get a bowl of chili and some champagne to celebrate. Want some? He clapped Jason on the back. Well actually.... K Nick whatever you say. What are we celebrating? Annie asked dad. While she gave Jason a please stay glance while he mouthed back "sorry." You're homecoming of course Meredith smiled back at her. While Jason lifted a suspicious eyebrow. His eyes read "let me know if you need anything." As Annie nodded back at him.

Meredith got a phone call and dad went inside saying he'd be right back. Annie walked away rolling her eyes kicking her shoes off and taking her shirt off as she sat at the edge of the pool listening in to her talk or trying to. She was saying something about a charity. She claimed to be writing it all down but she wasn't even probably really listening. Then she mentioned our dad and how he was leaving the country on certain days. Annie was confused by this as she said she would mention it to him. As soon as she got off the phone she asked Annie how camp was wondered if it was just fabulous. But she asked if dad was really going out of the country and she said no not really. I just had to tell a little white lie to get him out of something. A let me tell you I have never heard a man talk about his daughters the way Nick talks about you and Farrah. You all must be pretty close. She confirmed. I'm just so disappointed that Farrah and I didn't hit it off. You know we're closer than close we're all each other have. Farrah goes to and from her to London for work she does acting singing stuff here and modeling in London. Her boyfriend lives in Canada they met at camp when they were my age. And then she jumped into the pool and Meredith shrieked and tried to dry herself off.

And then Annie played innocent. I'm sorry did I get you wet Mer? Just a little Hal she said trying to act her best nice step mom behavior. Though Jason and I would've been proud. And then she said dad let him ride her horse the other day and hoped that was ok. She said oh yes Sprout was used to strange women riding her. And it's a good thing you rode her instead of Snowball she doesn't let anyone other than Farrah or Jason ride her. Sometimes not even me if she's in a bad mood. Not that you're strange or anything. She said compared to other she was actually relatively normal. Others? She asked Annie. What others? Do you want the 411? She asked her. What's the 411? She asked Annie. She said she didn't blame her if she wanted to know all the info of all the woman before her. And would want to know about the other 28 oops 29 other women before her. She was of course surprised to hear this. She said it was always the same thing horse back riding through the vineyards a romantic dinner with his special wine and moonlight swims. We would've been so proud of her. And then dad and Jason came back dad had a very special bottle of wine with him. So did you girls find something to talk about while I was gone? He asked them. Annie said nothing as she dived under the water. Does that mean yes? He asked Meredith. It sure does she agreed as Jason took his own shirt off and hopped into the pool with her.
