Romantic Tides

Prologue

"What?!" Solein's shout echoed through the school's cafeteria. Lumingon at tumigil sa pagkain ang mga tao ngunit, wala siyang pake. Kahit ang kaibigan niyang kasabay niya sa pagkain ay bumaba ang tingin, feeling a bit guilty because of what she has done.

Her friend, Kaelani, breathed deeply and faced her now angry friend. "Sol, I'm sorry! Pero, this is your birthday wish, hindi ba? Sabi mo na you want to do something exciting.." she smiled and bit a piece of her burger. Solein just stared at her friend in disbelief. "Yeah, something exciting, not humiliating!", she sarcastically smiled at her friend.

Nag-isip naman ng paraan si Kaelani upang makumbinsi ang kaibigan. Hindi din naman kasi biro ang ginawa niya, kung nasa posisyon siya ni Solein, siguro ay maiinis din siya.

"Sali ka na, please! May rule kasi na, once you are registered, bawal na mag back out.." Kaelani smiled and did a 'peace' sign with her hand. Napa-iling naman si Solein at tinitigan ang kaibigan. Ang daming ideya na tumatakbo sa utak ni Solein upang matakbuhan ang pinasok nilang magkaibigan, pero pointless din naman ito dahil sa rule. Takteng rule 'yan!

"Bakit mo naman kasi ako sinali sa dating show na 'yan! Nakakahiya, Kai!" Solein buried her face in her hands. She was joking na umiiyak na siya pero totoong nakakahiya ang ginawa sakanya ng kaibigan. "Paano kung sasabihin ko na, kasali yung favourite mong actor? Si Jeremiah!" Kaelani raised an eyebrow and held her friend's hand. Napaangat naman ng tingin si Solein, kahit papaano ay gumaan ang loob niya. Sige na nga! See you, my Remy! , ang tumatakbo sa isip ni Solein ngayon.

As Kaelani chattered all about the dating show, she felt mixed emotions. She is happy to be part of a once in a lifetime adventure, and also sad because of the possible outcomes of the show. Nobody knows what will happen! But there is a feeling that is reigning Solein's heart, a feeling of uneasiness. Something is telling her that this show would not end good and fun as her friend imagines.
